“A Place in the Woods to Dream and Live Your Dream” My mouth dropped when I stepped into artYcottage and was surrounded by so much beauty, creativity and originality. It was endless. Everywhere I looked there were remarkable details that were executed with perfection. Rich colors and varied textures everywhere. Everything handmade from the quilts to the furniture to the faucets and tiling and even the soap! One day it was 80 degrees and I enjoyed reading on a chaise on the deck. Then the very next day it was snowing and I was lucky to be there to enjoy the beauty of nature's softness covering the branches of trees. I stayed in that day by the fire my wonderful host, Tom, built. Tom and his stunning and bubbly wife, Margaret, made me feel at home with their warmth and sensitivity. From now on I will definitely be staying here on my twice yearly trips to ashland!

“Gorgeous views, Family friendly, Pet friendly beach house” This was a wonderful place to spend the Christmas holiday at with extended family. Our tweens really enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Watching the tides come in and out and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets was lovely.

“Tiny gem on a lovely river--and in a great town!” We've stayed in this tiny house now for three years and will be coming back. It's very small, true, but also very nicely equipped, and it gets great light. The Deschutes River out back gives the house the feel of being much larger. Downtown Bend, a ten-minute walk away, has more restaurants and watering holes than you could sample in a month, plus great shops. Mt. Bachelor is within a half hour drive for skiing vacations, and the Cascade Highway offers plenty of spectacular summer recreation choices. The house has one bedroom and a living room facing the river, plus a galley kitchen and a single bathroom. Think boxcar; the house is thin and long. No washer or dryer, but there's a very nice laundromat a few blocks away--and I'm picky about my laundry! If it weren't so efficiently laid out, it would be too small. Stay here with people you like a lot, because you won't be able to get away from them. But the river and the town will give you ample breathing room.

“Wonderfully relaxing cabin” We loved our stay at the Sandy River house. It snowed 1 ft. the night that we arrived and had an awesome day waking up and walking to the roaring sandy river right on the property. The owner was easy to work with, the master bed was very comfortable and we would love to come back there to stay for our next ski trip. It is pretty close to the mountain but not in a resort- more of a quiet area to relax after a day of skiing.

“An Idyllic, beautiful,wonderfully relaxing place to be.” I loved this cabin. It stayed nice and cool inside so was a welcome retreat from the heat. A pretty private spot with lovely surroundings. Loved the creek and the deck! Enjoyed roasting marshmellows at thethe fire pit. Would have loved to have a fire in the woodstove, but was too hot. A truly lovely place to stay. :)

“Well appointed house in nice development” We recently stayed here for a corporate team-building event (fishing trip). The kitchen is large and well appointed. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Would highly recommend for reunions or events like ours. We lacked nothing.

“VIEW, VIEW, VIEW - Absolutely stunning! It made us speechless, which hardly ever happens!” The first thing that struck us was the amazing wraparound view from almost all the big windows. Cozy cottage with 2 fireplaces! We brought some of our children and grandchildren. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. The upstairs was a nice surprise with view of ocean and a fireplace! It worked perfectly for our son, his wife and 2 daughters. We took the downstairs bedroom (also with a view), with one son in the other bedroom. We had the best time playing in the sand and surf, exploring tide pools, walking on the beach, flying kites, and visiting the acquarium in nearby Newport. There are plenty of restaurants close by, but we did a lot of cooking and loved having a bar-b-q and space to cook our own meals. It was one of our best trips EVER!

“Wonderful tranquil resting place amidst inspiring natural beauty” Landscape Photographer's Paradise ! What a special place surrounded by such a magic landscape! We, two hobby photographer friends came all the way from Cologne, Germany to visit the beautiful states of Oregon, Washington and California on a two month trip. One of our highlights was to stay in this great cottage in Oregon high desert near the Painted Hills on our way east to Hell Canyon. We originally reserved the place only for two days from the 2nd till the 4th of April, but decided to add another 2 days because there was so much to see in the region and the cottage was so great. We took some amazing pictures of the Painted Hills, and the Clarno pillar formations, and along the John Day River. Thanks to the well informed owners we got lots of great tips were to go for some very unusual shots. Ask for the way to the Priest Hole! Wonderful details in the house, the gardens and the caring service made the visit so pleasant. A nice, tranquil resting place on our journey, while at the same time so inspiring from all the beautiful landscapes and natural monuments all around!!!
