“Just what we were looking for”
Olive Tree House was all and more than we wanted for our short break and Lamprini's delightful parents couldn’t have been more kind and welcoming. We were looking for a quiet break with an opportunity to experience spring flowers in Corfu and it was just perfect. The added bonus was the panoramic view from the balcony where we able to spend relaxing hours, reading, bird-watching and people-watching following the agricultural activities of the locals on the various plots of land spread out before us. We would love to return one day.

“the real corfu & a fantastic place!”
My partner and I decided to visit Corfu planning to stay in a traditional village instead of the mainstream resorts. Liapades, close to the fanous Palaiokastritsa beach was our choice of preference as it is a fantastic location combining magnificent landscape, traditional character and easy access to unmolested beaches. The village has original character and a rather remarkable philharmonic orchestra (more to this later). The Olive Tree House was also exceptional: a very roomy appointment (or flat, as it is a proper house and not a plain touristic apartment) that can easily accommodate a family, with high quality furniture and very tasteful decoration, excellent equipment (espresso machine besides filter coffee machine!!!, powerful air-conditioning and wifi and so on). The house is very nicely located, effectively in the village centre with very easy access to the road (to Corfu capital and near-by beaches) and a very convenient parking space. The view from the Olive Tree House is magnificent, overseeing the so-called 'panolivado', which a fantastic bonus for people who like the countryside. An other bonus for classic music cogniscenti is the very capable local philharmonic orchestra, whose training location is closely sited to the Olive Tree House! Last but not least, the owner and her parents (who helped with the check-in) and exceptionally friendly and hospitable. They provided us with an abundance of information regarding the location, the area as well as amusement opportunities and cultural events, and were exceptionally easy to deal with. Her father is a very interesting gentleman and her mother an excellent cook with a very keen tendency to spoil the guests! As a final note, upon check out we were presented with a cute bag full of local products to remind us of our stay!
