Description

Villa “archontiko of petra 1821” is a stone, country style, villa, located in the north of lesvos island, in the beautiful and traditional village of petra. The road leading to the mansion is with pebbles, where on foot you reach "agora" centre, of village just 800 meters away. You will listen to the fisherman selling his fish on the road, or local salesman with their vehicles selling their goods or the bells of the unique church of petra located on a rock, the highlight of the village.

Villa arhontiko is a stone luxurious country mansion of 1821, fully renovated at 2008. Inside the villa, an atmosphere of an old mansion dominates with a unique combination of greek antique and english county style furniture's, exciting at first sight and presenting a romantic and nostalgic mood. The entrance starts with an imposing wooden staircase leading to the upper floor of the mansion. On the ground floor of the mansion there is a small cosy, country style kitchen, a large dining room, a living room with a big fireplace dominating the place.

Last but not least on the ground floor there is a lovely veranda with a green spacious garden, left and right full of fruit bearing trees, where you can relax, enjoy and taste the fruits from the trees!

On the second floor, there is a second spacious living room with fireplace, three bedrooms where one of it has a big bathroom with jacuzzi. Additionally, there is a small veranda overlooking the garden, the church of petra and the houses of the village.

The 5 luxurious rooms, which two of them are on the ground floor and three of them are on the first floor, have their own style, colour and unique furniture with soft colours. Every room has its own bathroom with different kind of style and decoration, satisfying the most demanding tastes.

If you are looking for authentic recipes from our local women, with biological products or to understand the local culture of the island, or walk through the picturesque, pebble alleys with the traditional houses and mansions of the village or even enjoy the walking routes and trails that our area has to offer or just want to relax either in our villa or even at the beach of petra, this is the best place to be on the island.

It is a place for all seasons’ winter or summer.
