Description
Domaine St Ferreol is an authentic vineyard that offers luxurious holiday accommodation for rental and is also an ideal setting for celebrating your special occasion. Located in the heart of the Herault Valley in Languedoc, close to Pezenas (6km) and sunny Mediterranean beaches (25km) there are a wealth of cultural & sporting activities to keep you busy all year round.
Dating back to 822 the ancient Domaine lies in a peaceful 35 acre estate, surrounded by vineyards with 2 acres of wooded parkland, 1 km of riverbank, a bamboo park & natural water gardens and ponds. The extensive grounds include a large secluded pool (13x6M)
set in its own landscaped garden. There is an enclosed children's play area with swings, slide, sandpit, table tennis and 14ft trampoline & a large park with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. The 6 villas have been tastefully restored, retaining many original features & offer a unique blend of traditional Languedoc character with all the luxurious comforts of home.
So called as it was the former Blacksmiths residence, La Forge is a delightful 2 bedroom villa, with large lounge area. The room has been delightfully restored and there is an ancient cast iron wood burning fire to keep the chill out in the cooler evenings and together with the ancient large beams throughout the property this provides a flavour of the ancient blacksmiths forge.
The lounge (approx. 23 x 18ft) has 2 large windows and pretty Provencal blue and yellow colours are tastefully used throughout, with local rustic materials used in all the fabrics and furnishings. Lamps, colourful artistic plates and pictures all add to the ambience. There is a large sofa, wicker sofa and 2 armchairs, coffee table and card table.
The adjacent kitchen area in a farmhouse style, has plenty of cooking and storage facilities, and is equipped with high quality cooker, hob, extractor hood, fridge freezer, dishwasher and all necessary cooking utensils.
The dining area has a pine table which seats up to 6 people spacious kitchen.
The French doors lead into the courtyard area where the enclosed garden has an outside table, chairs and parasol and a BBQ,
The bathroom is very spacious and equipped to a high standard with separate shower cubicle, bath, WC and wash hand basin, with storage cupboard beneath.The bathroom window also offers lovely views over the surrounding vineyards.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms one very large double with King size bed, Louis XIV sofa and antique furnishings, measuring 23 x 18ft.
The second bedroom is a bright twin bedded room with rustic furnishings. Both bedrooms can house additional beds and cots as required
La Forge is a delightful villa with very spacious sleeping accommodation for either couples or families.

Ideal for exploring the beautiful Languedoc area, close to Mediterranean sandy beaches, historic towns of Pezenas, Beziers, Montpellier, Nimes, Carcassonne and a wealth of sporting and water sports activities close by. For wine lovers there are plenty of exciting Vineyards to discover or enjoy one of our evening wine tasting sessions in our vaulted cellar. A perfect setting in which to relax and unwind with a glass of our award winning Viognier.
Golf: The twenty golf courses of the Languedoc Rousillon offer a wonderful experience for both beginners and experts alike. Discover what the Languedoc golf courses have to offer from the medieval city of Carcassonne to the beach resorts of Agde. For real golf lovers buy a Languedoc Rousillon Golf Pass which includes 5 green fees and allows you to play for a period of 21 consecutive days on 12 designated golf courses. Happy Putting.

“A great location for exploring the Herault region”
This house has everything you might wish for a perfect holiday. It is spacious enough for 4 people but cosy, comfortable and light. Pretty Toile fabrics used throughout made it feel very French and authentic. The Catalan fireplace was very impressive and we could imagine how lovely it would be in the cooler months to sit around and enjoy the crackling flames. The swimming pool is fantastic, with a lot of space and plenty of shady spots under Palm and Acacia trees. The Park and gardens provided lots of additional areas to wander around and the Play Area for the children was a big hit Jorje & Ania are lovely people, and were a great help in recommending things to do. A week was too short so we will definitely be back to explore the remaining places on our list !
