The Gite de Montmanjeon was built at the end of the XVIIIth century, and is fully renovated. The house is located 1h from Paris, 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport, and lies in a peaceful valley.The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets. A large fully equipped kitchen has a table that can seat 8 people. A 50 m2 dining room opened to the south garden has a large table that seats 10 people. There is an insert fireplace in the kitchen and a massive fireplace in the dining room. A cozy living room with TV/DVD is also located on the second floor.You will find high-speed internet, gas BBQ, outdoor patio furniture, ping-pong table, satellite TV, DVD player, videogames (Wii U), iPod docking station, stereo, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, oven, microwave oven, fridge, freezer.There are 4 bikes (2 men/2 women) available for lovely rides in the area.The Gite de Montmanjeon is conveniently located 60 km from Charles de Gaulle International Airport, 1h drive from Paris, 45' from Reims, 45' from Eurodisney and 1h from Parc Asterix. From the house you will discover the southern part of Picardy and the east of Ile-de-France, with medieval towns, cathedrals, castles, WWI battle sites, the Vallee de la Marne and the Champagne wineyards.

“Superb Residence”

Superb is the only single-word description I have for our recent stay at the cottage at Montmanjeon. Stephen, the owner, provided detailed instructions that helped immensely in coordinating our arrival and stay. Our party consisted of six adults, which was easily accommodated at the cottage. There is plenty of room, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen and with two large dinning tables inside and two outside there were multiple choices to sit and talk at the end of the day over fine wines, light dinner and wonderful ambiance. The location of the cottage in the countryside was exactly what we were looking for; we met neighbors Philippe and Maria, who entertained us with stories and history of the area. If you are looking for a place to escape from the hubbub of 21st Century living, travel back in time to a place where relaxation is the watchword and that place is the cottage at Montmanjeon.
