Pizzo Beach Club is a secure and safe gated complex, with Reception facilities, accessed with swipe cards provided to guests of the resort. It is situated only a 15 minute drive from Lamezia Airport and a 10 minute walk to the beach. A short distance by car from the historic picturesque Pizzo Town.

The property is located a short 10 minute walk from a large sandy beach. The short walk is along a pathway through a beautiful pine and eucalyptus forest. The walk through the forest takes you to the golden sandy beach which stretches 20 km from Pizzo to Lamezia. There are some lovely walks along the beach with beach bars and restaurants along the route.
Please note that the complex is not within walking distance of Pizzo town and therefore a car is recommended if you want to explore the local area as public transport may be unreliable.
To maintain the security of the resort and for the benefit of the resident guests, the compulsory use of wrist bands has been introduced. This will ensure that the facilities of the resort are used exclusively by guests. (The price of the wrist bands are included in your rental cost).
No Pets allowed.
Currently, arrivals will only be accepted between 1000 hrs and 1900 hrs. An exception may be made if specifically agreed in advance, however this will incur a fee, as the management company are not based at Pizzo Beach complex.
A Government tourist tax of 2 euros per day up to a maximum of 14.00 euros per person (over 16 years) will be added to the booking.
(14 euros is the total maximum amount payable, even if staying longer than 7 days).
Around Pizzo
Pizzo is conveniently placed on the coastal road and railway for visiting Tropea and the rest of the Costa degli Dei. Hire a car, and you can tour the whole Tropea area visiting small picturesque coastal resorts and villages such as Capo Vaticano, Briatico, Parghelia and Nicotera. The provincial capital, Vibo Valentia, is a short distance inland from Pizzo and is worth a visit for its mighty castle which has superb views. There are a number of interesting inland destinations for travellers with their own transport. Alternatively, take the train from Pizzo on it's coastal route and witness outstanding scenery on your journey. Scilla, a very attractive fishing village and beach resort is around an hour by car or accessible by train.
Reggio di Calabria can also be reached by train or car.
From this stretch of coast there are summer boat trips to the Aeolian Islands, with departures from Pizzo as well as nearby Vibo Marina. These are seven small inhabited islands off the north shore of Sicily. They are popular as a holiday destination, offering sunshine, beaches and natural beauty. The islands are grouped together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including Stromboli, off the shores of Pizzo which has an active volcano!

Response from the owner Mass tourism has not yet hit Pizzo and the surrounding areas. There are no organised children's activities at Pizzo Beach Club, however there is a well equipped playground and two swimming pools, one of which has a large water slide. In addition to this, there is a tennis court, football pitch, table tennis, gym and other facilities all on site. There have been problems with the TV not working, it has been checked by an engineer and appears to be an exterior problem with the dish. This has been checked and unfortunately the problem could not be resolved ahead of the summer season. It is intended to sort this out in the near future. The guest was notified beforehand that the TV was not working, and advised to bring DVD's if required, as the DVD player is operational.
