Description
The Coach House is a fabulous spacious cottage offering a high level of comfort and convenience to make a self catering holiday enjoyable any time of the year. It is set in 6 acres of private and peaceful grounds of mainly wooded lawns bordered by mature oak and sweet chestnut trees. There is ample space to accommodate all tastes from peaceful reading and sunbathing to boisterous ball games. There are swings and slide for the younger children, badminton court and the games room.
The main entrance is through a beautiful arched doorway into the lounge, a cool, stone-flagged area, open to the roof beams and looking out onto an enclosed lawn, ideal for toddlers. . The lounge is comfortably furnished with 2 armchairs and settee and has Freeview TV, French TV and DVD. To the rear of the lounge are a twin bedroom and double bedroom and a shared shower room. A beautiful hand-crafted staircase leads to the upper storey mezzanine overlooking the lounge. To the front of this mezzanine there is a spacious dining/kitchen area, which opens out onto a deck overlooking the garden and swimming pool. Take breakfast outside and enjoy the garden view...
To the rear of the dining room is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A twin-bedded garret is accessed by a ladder from the dining area for the more adventurous and has 2 full-sized futon beds. This is not suitable for very young children or the elderly. We suggest from 10 years and young adults.
You can spend the day relaxing in the garden in a sunny or shady spot with a glass of wine while the children play in the pool, on the trampoline ,in the games room or playing ball games in the secure garden.
Or after an active day on the beach, at the Adventure Forest, visiting the zoo or many other local attractions you can take a refreshing dip in the pool before you light the barbecue and enjoy a relaxing evening. The games room with billiard table, table tennis, Table football and air hockey games will keep adults and children alike busy until supper is ready!
It provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for a family or group holiday and can be rented with Bishop's Well and Chained Heart.
Each cottage has a private BBQ area and there is plenty of space in the garden for boisterous ball games and quiet relaxation.
The heated 12 x 6 metre pool is securely fenced.
It is shared with the 3 houses at Manoir De Bodion but it's never overcrowded.
Children and adults alike will make new friend whilst playing in the pool
Although many of our guests have spent much of their holiday relaxing in the garden, Bodion is a perfect base from which to enjoy the many attractions which Morbihan offers; the peace and charm of the Blavet Valley with its sleepy villages and historic buildings, the south coast (45mins) with its beaches and water sports, the idyllic islets in the inland sea of the Golfe du Morbihan, walks in the ancient woods of Lac du Guerledan
For local amenities Bodion is approximately 15 mins from the historic town of Pontivy where you will find supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Plumeliau, a 5 minute drive, is our local village; a friendly place to buy bread and croissants and fresh oysters every Sunday morning. St Nicholas des Eaux (15 mins), a charming village on the Blavet River, offers two restaurants, creperies and bars as well as river cruises and kayaking.
The children will love tree climbing at the Adventure Forest near Camors
These, with the chateaux, museums, restaurants and a steady passage of pardons, fetes and fest noz, will, we think, ensure a varied and enjoyable holiday for all the family.

“Brilliant! we had a lovely time!”
The house was perfect for 2 families with 3 toddlers, the grounds were really well kept and the facilities were excellent. Marion and Al were lovely to us and they even lent us a paddling pool for the kids. They totally make the place.There was no need to go out - we had everything on our doorstep, the kids enjoyed themselves a lot as it's brilliant for toddlers. The only negative is that we didn't stay for long enough, we could have easily stayed for another week. We are certainly planning on returning soon. Thanks to Marion and Al for a lovely week.

“Idllyic spot”
This was our third time in one of the owner's properties and our experience has just got better and better. The owners live on site and could not be more helpful and friendly. The property is set in several acres of lush, secluded gardens which is perfect for children of all ages and is kept beautifully by the owners. The pool is fenced off, giving peace of mind for those with young children and cleaned daily. From the gardens you can see for miles across beautiful countryside,but towns and villages are within easy reach. The Coach House has been exceptionally well and tastefully restored, with wonderful high ceilings. It's cosy on cooler days and with its flagstone floor, lovely and cool in warmer weather (which we've always had when visiting in August). There is everything you could possibly need in terms of utensils/equipment in the cottage and there is a lovely decking area leading straight out from the kitchen, which looks over the gardens. The nearest village to the cottage is not far, but I would say that a car is essential. Pontivy, the nearest large town, has numerous shops, big supermarkets and restaurants, with something for everyone, from good quality local restaurants and bakeries to McDonald's. We have loved exploring the area, but were loathe to leave the cottage sometimes, as we found it so relaxing and peaceful. We have found the location perfect for our family's needs and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to families with children of all ages.
