Description
Chained Heart Cottage is a converted milking parlour attached to the 17 th century Manoir De Bodion.
This is a spacious cottage offering a high level of comfort and convenience to make a self catering holiday enjoyable any time of the year. It is set in 6 acres of private and peaceful grounds of mainly wooded lawns bordered by mature oak and sweet chestnut trees. There is ample space to accommodate all tastes from peaceful reading and sunbathing to boisterous ball games. There are swings and slide for the younger children, badminton court and the games room.
The 12 x 6 m pool is heated from the end of May to September and is set in a landscaped garden enjoying sunshine all day. It is securely fenced for the safety of young children.
It is shard with the other two cottages at manoir de Bodion but is never overcrowded. Children especially enjoy making new friends whilst paying in the pool
Garden furniture and barbeque are provided too.
Each cottage at the manoir has a private barbeque and patio, not overlooked.
Our friendly village of Plumeliau is only 5 kms away for fresh bread and croissants for breakfast and a variety of shops are just 10 kms away in Pontivy. St Nicholas des Eaux on the Blavet valley is a short drive away.
This is an ideal location too for exploring this beautiful part of Brittany, just 45 minutes from the coast and lakes and many interesting activities and places to visit.
Chained Heart Cottage can also be rented with Bishops Well and The Coach House to accommodate 22 people. perfect for family reunions and large groups enjoying a holiday together.
A log fire and central heating makes this an ideal location for Spring and Autumn breaks.
The accommodation sleeps 8+ in four bedrooms. It consists, on the ground floor, of a spacious American-style well-equipped kitchen lounge/dining room featuring an attractive stone fireplace and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath/shower) and washing machine.
Upstairs there is a double and a twin bedrooms and a third airy bedroom with 3 "lits coins", traditional carved Breton beds. There is a shared upstairs bathroom with shower cubicle.

“Incredible grounds, really spacious gite”
What a fabulous place. We travelled as a group of 2 couples plus 3 toddlers under the age of 2. It was perfect, the grounds are beautiful, huge and so well kept. The pool is a really decent size, nice for adults to knock out a few lengths and also great for children to paddle and sit around at the top end. There is a small area of swings and slides for little ones and also a field of sheep across the road which went down a storm for a daily visit to see them. We also loved the fact there are sun loungers dotted around everywhere so you can really chill out in the peaceful surroundings away from everyone. There were areas in the ground we didn't even make it too, the place is that big. Marion and Al are perfect hosts, not intrusive at all yet went out of their way to help us with our odd requests. Even the 3 cot beds we requested were luxurious. Wooden and big, not the usual plastic ones you usually get on holiday. Also loved the fact Marion cooked a fab meal for our arrival and had done some basic shopping so we had peace of mind that we could relax right from the off. It's a very easy drive into Plumieau for shopping, 5 min drive straight down the road for a lovely bakery, 2 big supermarkets and a fab pizza take out place. So sad to leave, an amazing break, we hope to be back again.
