Description
A peaceful place in the heart of the Murgia hills by the Town of the Caves. Four trulli and a little building. South-East of Apulia, near Castellana Grotte, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Aberobello. Typical drystone architectural, XIX century building for 4 trulli and a tower. Silence and discretion, no traffic, no cars, only sound of nature. In the garden secular olive trees, all the endemic apulian oaks, organic fruit trees and kitchen garden. All the mediterranean plants. Inside, antique furniture, limestone floor, air conditioning split, electric hoven and hob. One bedroom with a double bed, another room with two singles confortable campbed. Fenced property with an entrance gate. Available to our dear guests, there's also a compost can for organic garbages.

Siamo in territorio di Polignano a Mare, ma a un km dal centro di Castellana-Grotte. La struttura è costituita da quattro coni e da un'adiacente torretta. Vi si accede da un vialetto privato che si diparte da una strada sterrata. La ristrutturazione della struttura originale - risalente a metà settecento - è avvenuta nell'ottica del rispetto dei luoghi, dei materiali e delle tecniche costruttive. La pavimentazione è in pietra calcarea, due le camere da letto. La camera da letto matrimoniale ha arredi in mogano d'epoca liberty originali. La seconda camera da letto è ricavata nel soggiorno e ha due comodi letti richiudibili con doghe in legno. Per l'esterno, vi sono sdraio, ombrellone, altalene, tettoia in legno e tegole per il raffrescamento della veranda. Gli esterni sono illuminati da pali e applique in ferro. Il bagno è completo di doccia, lavabo, bidet, lavatrice, asciugacapelli. La cucina comprende piano cottura elettrico, forno elettrico, frigorifero; molti degli elementi d'uso sono d'epoca: pentole in coccio, piatti, mestoli e bicchieri. Piatti e stoviglie in terracotta sono decorati a mano. La camera da pranzo ha travi a vista e un pozzo per l'approvvigionamento idrico, tuttora funzionante, lucchettato per motivi di sicurezza. Disponibile per tutti gli usi domestici acqua piovana (non potabile) e acqua da falda artesiana. Si mette a disposizione una riserva di acqua potabile in bottiglia necessaria al soggiorno. Il camino è funzionante e dotato di piccola riserva di legna. Il riscaldamento-raffrescamento è garantito da pompe di calore. L'acqua calda per cucina e sanitari è garantita da boiler elettrici. Il giardino privato, interamente delimitato da muri in pietra calcarea, è costituito da oltre mille metri quadrati destinati ad uliveto, frutteto, piante odorose e querce. L'elemento iconografico tradizionale è presente in tutti gli ambienti, a rimarcare l'appartenenza culturale dei luoghi a una matrice tradizionale, rurale e meridionale.
L'alloggio è interamente a disposizione degli ospiti, nel rispetto dell'unicità della struttura, degli arredi e delle finiture di pregio. Non si tratta di una sistemazione adatta a turisti disattenti, ma a viaggiatori sensibili e amanti del bello.
In loco è a disposizione, previo preavviso, un servizio di guide turistiche abilitate, anche il lingua. Altresì disponibile la locazione di scooter o automobili.
Si tratta di un angolo di campagna estremamente tranquillo, destinato a contemplatori. Il luogo ideale per riprendersi dallo stress del quotidiano, per praticare yoga o meditazione. Non vi è passaggio di mezzi estranei.
Imperdibili le Grotte di Castellana, aperte tutto l'anno, il centro storico e le chiese di Castellana Grotte, i trulli di Alberobello, il castello e la pinacoteca di Conversano, il castello e il museo diocesano di Monopoli.
La città di Castellana-Grotte è dotata di piscina comunale e palestre per ogni genere di sport e disciplina.
