Puerta Pollensa apartment with pool and mountain views. Peaceful location, ground floor, easy / level access. 800 m walk to beach. Sleeps 4-6 (1 king size bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 large sofa bed).

Location

The apartment's significant selling point is the mountain views and peaceful, quiet location yet within easy reach of the beach and village centre. It is situated in a lovely area on the edge of the village, just a few minutes (approx. 200m) from a supermarket and 800m from the central seafront walk (Pine Walk) and the village square of Puerta Pollensa. It is ideal for someone looking for a holiday stay close to the village and beach, but in a very peaceful, quiet location with countryside / mountain views.

Accommodation

The apartment is light and bright with large sliding glass doors in both bedrooms and from the living room onto the decking. It has been furnished to a high standard to offer maximum comfort. Large, spacious and open plan it has beautiful wooden flooring throughout. The lounge area offers Satellite TV and DVD player and has a large sofa with chaise-long, ideal for relaxed holiday in a peaceful location. The dining area is next to the extremely well equipped modern kitchen. The two bedrooms have double wardrobes. The apartment is fully air-conditioned with central heating. The large decked terrace is ideal for relaxing or having meals looking at the mountain views. There is also a communal swimming pool.

The apartment has two large bedrooms. There is a bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. Additional sleeping is possible in the living room on the large sofa that converts to a double bed. There is also a cot. The bathroom is modern with a shower over the bath. Bed linen and towels are provided and there is a weekly cleaning service included.

Facilities

The apartment has a modern fully fitted kitchen. There is a hob / stove, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, satellite TV, air conditioning and heating, a cot, intercom from the door to the apartment, a large decked veranda with outside dining and mountain views, secure private lobby, designated parking space and additional parking outside. There is also a communal pool and garden area with level access.

Access

The apartment has level access with wide doors and no lips to cross (a small one to the decking area). The front door is accessed via a gently sloped ramp (1 in 12) and within the apartment there are no lips or steps, and plenty of space with the open plan design and large bedrooms. Large double opening patio doors in all three rooms provide plenty of natural light and air, with easy access out onto the decking area where you can dine outside to mountain views. The bathroom is spacious enough for a wheelchair. Any special equipment like hoists or bath / shower aids are available to rent from a nearby supplier for a small extra cost if needed.

The area

The property is 800m from the beachfront of the coastal town of Puerta Pollensa, it's village square and the beautiful Pine Walk. Puerta Pollensa is situated approx. 45 minutes north from Palma Mallorca airport. Originally an old fishing village is it now a resort with sandy beaches, stunning mountain and sea views, and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes along the pedestrian sea front area – a great location for a stroll, and spectacular views of the Formentor Peninsula and the Tramuntana Mountains.

For the visitor interested in nature and the outdoors, there is plenty on offer: gentle coastal strolls, watersports including sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking and windsurfing; fantastic marked cycle ways and routes through the surrounding countryside and lanes; climbing and canyoning in the mountains and gorges of the dramatic mountains and a great selection of walks around the local valleys, mountains and coast. The Tramuntana mountains have UNESCO status as an area of great physical and cultural significance. Pollensa Golf course is 8km away. Nearby Pollensa old town, old town Alcudia, the spectacular quiet village of Cala San Vicente and Palma are all easily reached using the local bus service. S'Albufereta Natural Park is a wetland nature reserve next to Puerta Pollensa, rich in bird and plantlife. In addition to the on-sight pool, there is a large (25m) indoor swimming pool which is fully accessible with hoist is a 5 minute walk / push from the apartment.

Getting around

The bus terminal for all local buses is a short walk from the house. Leave the quiet residential street and turn left, walking approximately 400 metres along the main road to the bus terminal situated just after the roundabout. The local public swimming pool (25m) and medical centre are also there, just behind the buses. If you cross over the main road rather than following it left, you almost immediately arrive at the main street into the village centre, a total of 800m walk (max 10 mins for most) from the apartment.

There is an information pack inside the apartment (folder in the desk) and also available electronically, with information about things to do in the area, useful contacts, emergency details etc. Some maps and books of local walks and cycles are also in the apartment, with other leaflets on attractions in the area.

“Perfect!”

We have just returned from an amazing 2 weeks here. Accommodation and location were perfect. The apartment was furnished to the highest of standards and immaculately clean. Home from home with the addition of perfect weather too. It's perfectly situated in a residential area, ensuring peace and quite but is within minutes walk of the beautiful beaches and town centre. The pool is great and the outdoor dinig area is ideal.

“Good location for beach and town”

Great location for access to beach and town of Port de Pollenca with excellent bus service to places on the island of Mallorca. We read the review before we booked and all were excellent /good. We had a few issues with cleanliness which was swiftly sorted following an email sent to the owner however the last thing you want to see when you open the door to your apartment is the Hoover!!! The picture of the bathroom is not what is in the apartment there is no bath and unfortunately the shower wets the whole bathroom. The pool area is small but clean could do with a bit of attention but it is a safe and quiet area for sunbathing. There is a lovely walk that you can see from the balcony over to another small bay take plenty of water you are quite exposed. There are plenty of restaurants eating where the Locals eat is the most economical and tastiest.

Yes the bathroom has been re-done as a shower room and I do need to update the picture. It shouldn't be flooding though...it normally works / drains well. Thanks.

We stayed for 10 days at the end of July had a fantastic time. The apartment was just as we expected and perfect for our family. Great location, not far from the beach and restaurants. A relaxing place for our first trip to Majorca - would love to return!

“calm, spacious, perfect.”

The property is in a calm quiet area, two minutes walk from the supermarket which is open late, five minutes walk into town to the port where you have everything you need. Local bus services if you dont have a car, there is a sheltered parking space next to the flat if you do hire a car. There are plenty of places to walk to direct from the flat, otherwise buses can take you anywhere on the island and bicycles are for rent. All types of restaurants to please all tastes. The flat is like a home from home with decent proper cutlery and sharp knives!!! A luxury ! And a heavenly bath to soothe away the days activities... with maybe a bit of english telly as a treat ! Perfect!

A modern very spacious and comfortable ground floor apartment,in a well maintained block, fitted with high quality furnishings and a very well equipped kitchen. Good sized rooms throughout and nice balcony to sit out and enjoy the mountain views. Nice quiet location but only 8 mins walk to the main beach with other amenities including supermarket closer. A great base for access to cycling and walking routes straight from the door.

“The perfect get away”

Smart appartment with plenty of room and well decked out when you have two kids (satalight TV, Dish Washer, swimming pool). Very close to town, supermarket and 20 min from the beach, but feels very quite (flat on on the very edge of town, just under the mountains). Only downside would be balconly is next to parking area (being on the ground floor though makes it much safer with kids), but for cycling, running or walking it's perfect (also having your own parking space is great, as I've stayed at a number of places where parking can be difficult).
