Description

Whether you’re visiting Portrush for a traditional ‘bucket and spade’ holiday with the family on the

beautiful beaches, or you want to enjoy the stunning North Coast scenery, taking in the

world famous Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge or Bushmills Whiskey Distillery amongst

many others, Ocean Retreat is ideally positioned. Just off the West Strand, it is a moment’s

walk from the Promenade which, in a matter of several minutes takes you along the surf beach to

Barry’s Amusements Park.

A few minutes’ walk further on takes you to the vibrant culinary scene of the Ramore restaurants,

situated around the harbour and if golf is your thing then you are only minutes drive away from the

renowned Royal Portrush course, as well as a host of other links courses.

Ocean Retreat has 3 double bedrooms on the ground floor, enabling the first floor to offer an

open plan space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area and views to the beach and harbour.

In addition, the attic has been converted to provide a wonderful vantage point with breathtaking

views over the West Strand and beyond through its large pentagonal window. From here you can sit

and watch the surfers battling the waves or in the evenings enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the

lights of Portrush.

“Great Base for Exploring a Fascinating Area”

This was the first time I had ever spent more than a weekend in Northern Ireland. We thought we would try there because of the Covid situation and there were plenty of interesting places to visit. Portrush makes a great centre to visit the beautiful Causeway Coast with its many attractions. Perhaps because of the provinces recent history, it is largely unspoiled and the town itself is like the resorts I used to visit in my childhood. The house itself is a delightful retreat, plenty of space for two couples with spectacular views of the beach from the top floor, and plenty of home comforts (Smart TV, games etc) and is situated in a quiet road close to all amenities and transport connections. All in all, a great base for a refreshing holiday. I can definitely recommend this and will be back.

How do damage deposits work?
