Description
This exquisitely restored 17th century villa in Positano offers timeless luxury,
fine arts, craftsmanship and wonderful views overlooking the bay, the Amalfi
Coast and Capri.
With over 300 square metres of shady terraces, and 1000 square metres of luxurious gardens you can enjoy al fresco meals and the excellent gourmet cooking from one of the patios overlooking Positano and the magnificent Mediterranean sea.
Villa Antica was built in 1741 in the oldest district of Positano, Liparlati, not far from the church of St. James, on ancient Roman ruins. It is one of the villas commissioned by the
rich ship owners and the decorations and art work testify to their wealth and
importance. All the art work was done by local workers and craftsmen.
Today Villa Antica offers 5-star luxury with its 8 luxurious suites, each with its large en suite bathroom decorated in antique Neapolitan ceramics, and an adjoining terrace. The villa sleeps 16 + 4 but can welcome up to 25 guests in the case of special events. It is also available for weddings on request (max cap 150).
The villa is built on four levels, principal access being from the second
level. 1st floor:
access to the Mediterranean garden with its bougainvilleas and lemon and orange trees from which the marmalade served at breakfast is made.
2nd floor: the kitchens and the living room - dining room, fully equipped with all the services (Television, WiFi, email, fax, telephone) and a big library with old and new books so you can dine, work or relax in absolute comfort. The house is fully centrally heated but for the more romantic a log fire can be lit in winter and there is air conditioning for the summer. Children and pets are
welcome.
3rd floor: 4 double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom with shower and terrace 4th floor: 4 double bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms with shower and terrace In total the villa disposes of 500 square metres of internal rooms including 12 bathrooms and 350 square metres of terraces throughout the building.
There is an outdoor swimming pool , (8,50 x 4,50 x 1,50 deep).
SECURITY DEPOSIT: euros 3.000
Visitor Tax: Euros 1,50 per day a person
The weeks of Easter, Christmas and New Year are considerated in high season.
Services: electricity, water, heating gas, firewood, conditioning, final cleaning, PC WORKSTATION/WIFI IN THE WHOLE STRUCTURE
