Charming cottage in the quiet and pretty village of Lucy sur Yonne. Perfect for visiting vineyards, the Morvan National Park & Lake district or historic towns and villages, including the magnificent hill town of Vezelay. Great place for walking and cycling with the canal towpath a few yards away and the busy canal ports of Clamecy and Chatel Censoir. Popular for house hunters in Burgundy and those in search of the fine vineyards of Chablis & Irancy. Available primarily for long stays (1 month +) and shorter stays within one month's notice of requested date and available all year round.

Marble floors downstairs and wooden floors upstairs, beamed ceilings, and with traditional furnishings the cottage provides a really comfortable base for a holiday or longer term rental. The wood burner in the lounge provides a cosy focal point during the winter months and there are efficient electric heaters in each room.

“A perfect Burgundian oasis”

I hesitated to review this holiday, because I almost don't want everyone else to know how lovely it was. Graham and Ruth are a superb couple and provided us with a really warm welcome after a frankly disastrous journey down (avoid Paris at all cost!) - we were three hours late but they met us at the cottage, log burner already blazing away in the sitting room. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, and I had every utensil I could possibly need in the kitchen. Mind your head upstairs! Lucy-sur-Yonne is a charming if very quiet village, and through Graham and Ruth we met some lovely people whom we look forward to seeing again in the future. This is the thing you see: I don't want the cottage to become so booked up that we can't rent it again in the future, as it is a really lovely area of countryside and we would love to return.
