Description
Nestled in the middle of rolling Devon countryside and on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, East Underdown is the perfect place for a family holiday or a quiet romantic getaway.
The three cottages were converted from 17c barns. Walkers enjoy a choice of trails within minutes of the cottages. For families, there is much to do within a short drive. While we enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside, we are three miles from the A30 and very accessible to the rest of the South West.
All guests have unlimited access (8a-10p) to our indoor, heated pool and sauna (£1/hr). We have free Wi-Fi. There is a fenced, green play space for children, and even big kids enjoy our games room with air hockey, mini snooker table, darts, table tennis, table football.
The cottages have their own private patios with picnic tables and barbecues. Great Cleave (4 bedrooms) sleeps 8 Little Cleave (2 bedrooms) sleeps 4 Old Orchard (2 bedrooms) sleeps 4

“Awesome Stay! Recommend Highly!”
We stayed as a large group spread across all three spacious cottages and found the layout of all three perfect for our group. The cottages are very well equipt, extremely clean and character full and Great cleave is perfect to gather, play games and eat together. The owners are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. Our group loved using the well maintained indoor pool and games room. The views were lovely and we all had a brilliant holiday together. Everything you could want to use while away is provided, the beds are very comfortable. The kids loved the playing field and picking apples. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for making our holiday awesome x

“A great place to stay”
We had a wonderful family holiday, 13 people and 4 dogs. The three cottages are well equipped with everything you could possible need on holiday. The views across the surrounding scenery are outstanding, with plenty of places to take long walks. The games room and swimming pool were used every day, especially by the younger members of the family, but even us oldies played table tennis and had a swim and sauna. One word of warning, don’t rely on the internet, as because of the remote location, supply is very intermittent, but 4G is fine. I would recommend a holiday here.

“Great stay.”
Fantastic house. Comfy beds, well equipped and beautiful location. The kids loved the games room, pool and mezzanine snug. We had a wonderful stay. Very friendly hosts with good communication throughout booking and stay. Many thanks.

“Amazing stay for my 40th”
I had such an amazing stay here for my 40th with friends and family. We used all three cottages, which was perfect as it allowed for everyone getting together in the main cottage but gave people some space to chill in their own cottages. The cottages are all really cosy, the wood burner is brilliant, the living and dining areas offered plenty of space for big meals and the kitchen has everything we needed. The kids all loved the pool which was the perfect size/depth for them; and the grown-ups loved the sauna for a little bit of me-time. There was lots to do nearby - walks, cosy pubs etc. Barbara the owner was on hand if we needed anything. Overall I’d definitely recommend a stay here.

“Great place to stay”
Took the family, 16 of us for a weekend break. The cottages were lovely, swimming pool well used and appreciated, as was the Sauna! Games room great for when it was too wet to go far. Everything we needed was in the cottages! The only thing that could be improved upon was to have fire guards! We had 2 toddlers in our group and it was a bit nerve wracking when they were running around.
