Description
Fisher Dairy offers high quality self – catering accommodation in a converted Sussex barn on a quiet working farm to the south of Chichester.
The accommodation is comprised of two double / twin rooms comfortably sleeping four within a self – contained cottage and is available for weekly and half week lets. The cottage has its own private enclosed garden and is located just off a country lane / cycle route. The local area offers a wide range of entertainment options from sandy beaches through to theatre and motor racing - something to suit all tastes.

Response from the owner Hi Chris and thank you for your feed back. Yes our property is rural - it is a barn conversion in secluded countryside. We take on board your comment re easy chairs. It is July and so the underfloor heating is not on at this time of year at all otherwise the cottage just gets too hot. You did not report and issue with heating and in our welcome pack we do ask that if you require changes to the heating system to let us know. The boiler is 25kw (more than adequate) but had been 'turned down' by the heating engineer at last service in June. This has now been rectified. We do not promise the provision of basics (although we do provide) but you point is taken on board re milk - we will provide a small jug for guests in future. The nearest shop is 2 miles away Please take note of our other reviews Thanks

Response from the owner Good day. We are disappointed with what is the worst rating we have had as we cannot really understand why. You came as a couple and rented a two bedroom property rather than a one bedroom room property which may explain why you think it was expensive - we believe our pricing is very competitive and good value for our cottage; this is the first time in 4 years that it has been suggested that it is not. We welcome constructive feedback as it helps us to do a better job for our guests - unfortunately you did not mention any issues to us during your stay and there is nothing specific in this review apart from the 'appalling state of the roads/ lanes'. Firstly we do not think they are appalling - yes there are narrow country lanes and there a few potholes (recently filled) but they are typical rural country lanes (and nothing like Devon or Cornwall!). Secondly the state of the local roads is largely beyond our control and we think it is a bit harsh that these have influenced your rating. To any potential guests reading this, please look at our other reviews and come and stay. Thank you
