“Lovely Rural Brittany”
David and Karen from Hawaii - April 1-8, 2011 We very much enjoyed our one-week stay in this lovely cottage. The owner met us with the keys and a most gracious welcome, which included a bottle of the local cidre. As the photos show, the cottage is very nicely appointed and tastefully decorated. As others have noted, the cottage is well-stocked with basics such as cooking oil, spices, and kitchen equipment, as well as soap for washing clothes and dishes. Located in a tiny hamlet with working farms all around, one could get a good sense of the calm pace of life in the country, yet larger towns were not far away. After a long day of ranging over the countryside, taking advantage of market day in Morlaix, or touring the Granite Rose coast, returning to the cottage for the evening was a most welcome capping of the day's activities. At night, the sky is fully displayed, as no lights obscure the view of the stars. The quiet is magnificent. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a lovely rural setting and a restful stay.
