Description

Thekla Court, self catering apartments, is situated in the outskirts of the authentic, historic, small and welcoming town of Polis. The location is peaceful, yet central with an ideal climate. The nearest beach, Chrysochou Bay, is 20 min walk away (5 min by car), and an 8 min stroll brings you to the town centre with its friendly atmosphere, excellent restaurants for eating out, bars, internet cafes, outside entertainment, banks, supermarkets and interesting shops. Polis provides a pleasant environment for a relaxing or romantic holiday and is also an ideal base for activities, e.g. cycling, biking, hiking, snorkeling, scuba-diving, coastal cruises, quad biking etc.

This spacious apartment (2 bedrooms) is on the first floor, is designed for enjoyable, flexible living and has great view to the sea and the mountains. It is ideal for families, friends and couples and has its own private Sunny balcony. The property (3 apartments only) benefits from its own private sunny terrace and pool and even a secluded roof terrace - ideal for sun lovers and evening drinks. Outside areas are fully equipped with sun beds and tables and chairs for outside meals and drinks.

This 2 bedroom apartment has been fitted to a very high standard and include fly screens, air conditioning and central heating. It has a light and very spacious living area (30.6 sq meters) includes a dining suite, coffee table, a three and a two seater sofa bed, full entertainment system including Smart TV/ Satellite TV (NileSat) and internet access via Wifi (additional cost, if internet access is required, please request it when you book). Each bedroom has twin beds and spacious fully fitted wardrobes and patio doors to their own private Sunny balcony. As the sofa beds in the living room provides beds for two additional adults a maximum of 6 adults can share this apartment.

The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge freezer, fitted oven, hob and hood, microwave, toaster and washing machine. There is a full size bathroom with heated towel rail, bath, shower, WC and wash basin. There is also a separate shower room with heated towel rail and also a separate cloakroom with WC and basin, providing a flexible arrangement that also avoids a bathroom queue.

The first 10 meters up to Thekla Court are at a steep gradient, the next 100 meters slope gently uphill; all manageable if of average fitness level - even if elderly.

Getting around

Fly to Paphos or Larnaca airport. By car the journey to Polis (1 hour max from Paphos airport) (2.5 hours from Larnaca airport) Car hire available from many different providers both global and local. Intercity and local buses run between the airport and the main towns, frequency depends on the season, time and day. Taxis are available at airports and locally. Tour buses and/or local buses provide trips to places of interest, but for independent visits a car is highly recommended. Buses go between Polis and Latchi, out to villages and to Paphos, their frequency depends on the season. A bicycle is good for getting around Polis, to Latchi and Argaka and out to Akhamas. Bicyles, motor bikes, quad bikes and cars can be hired locally.

Interaction with guest

Our property manager interacts with all our guests (and we do when we are there). She makes sure they get instructions for accessing their apartments before they arrive, welcomes them and makes sure they are comfortable at Thekla Court during their stay. The Guest guide will be sent you when booking, it will explain what is expected of you as a guest and provide useful information. If internet access is required, please request it (additional charge) when booking. Directions to the property is sent to guests, please bring them and use them to avoid a local call out fee of Euro 50.00 plus VAT after 18.00
