Villa Chryssa, situated away from the madding crowd, yet only 10 minutes away from the nearest beach and also from the city of Chania, Crete, is an ideal destination for families, couples and people seeking to combine quiet and adventurous holidays. Villa Chryssa is situated at the outskirts of the village of Verypetro in the midst of beautiful hills and olive and orange trees fields. We recommend car hire to get the most out of this traditional villa.
It is a stroke of luck that this villa is situated three minutes drive from the water park of Limnoupolis, ideal for children.
This very popular, well equipped villa offers modern amenities with traditional styling. It is owned by a Greek family who have taken great care to furnish it recently in the traditional way. The villa has a private pool, garden and BBQ and sleeps up to 6 adults. Children can be accommodated on the sofa bed.
The ground floor has an open plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped and has a table and seating for 8 people. The traditionally furnished lounge area has sofas, chairs, occasional furniture, a fireplace, TV, DVD player and a radio. There is also a shower room on this floor with shower, wc and wash basin.
All three of the lovely air-conditioned bedrooms, three doubles and one twin, are on the second floor where the main bathroom is also situated. The bedrooms have doors opening up to balcony with stunning views of the mountains.
A large, private landscaped garden with swimming pool and BBQ completes the amenities on offer. Around the pool there an extensive area with sun beds and parasols.

“Great location for exploring, roomy, large pool and lots of facilities.”
Villa Chryssa had the wow factor for us: good sized rooms, lovely view (particularly at sunset), large pool and outside space, covered area to eat outside and covered balcony to dry clothes. The owner was helpful and kind as was the lovely lady who looks after the villa; friendly too. With a hire car you can quickly pop into Chania and visit the local beaches (10-15 min). You also have easy access to the fantastic beaches in the west (Falassarna 60 min, Elafonisi 90 min) as well as the Samaria Gorge and the surrounding mountains (60 min). The water park is a 15 minute walk away along with a petrol cart track - close but far enough that you wouldn't know they were there. At night the local dogs disturbed some of the family but didn't particularly affect others. A wonderful place to stay.
