Avoid the crowds. Enjoy the peace of the countryside.Situated on the 1st floor of a traditional Slovenian house in Ribno, near Lake Bled, a picturesque village surrounded on all sides by breathtaking mountain scenery. Step outside to enjoy any number of local walks, or visit nearby restaurants/bars. Renovated to a high standard, this apartment has 2 bedrooms, a living area with kitchen, dining and seating areas and a modern shower room. There are stunning views from the balconies to the front and rear, with direct access from the bedrooms and living areas.

Have breakfast in the sun on the rear balcony and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun go down from the front. The bedrooms have large double beds and lots of wardrobe space. All windows are double glazed and all rooms have central heating.

All cooking utensils and crockery are provided. Bed linen and towels are provided. A change of bed linen is available for rentals of more than 1 week. The microwave is a multi-function oven. There is a 4 ring electric ceramic hob. Both bedrooms have doors directly out onto a balcony. Espresso coffee machine and cafetiere for filter coffee. A multi-channel cable TV is available. A small charge is made for using the washing machine.

Getting around

The A2 Highway at Lesce leads to Ljubljana (about 40 minutes) and to the East and South of Slovenia. Go north on the A2 Highway, through the Karawanken tunnel into Austria, or turn off towards Kranjska Gora then Italy. To use the Highway you must purchase and display a Vignette (toll sticker), available at petrol stations. If you turn left through Bled and past the lake, it is about 30 minutes drive to the Bohinj National Park and Lake Bohinj. A Tourist Shuttle Bus operates between our village and Bled. From Bled, there is an excellent bus service to everywhere in Slovenia.Lesce-Bled is the best railway station to use for journeys to Ljubljana or into Austria and Germany. Use Bled station to go to Bohinj.

We live in the house, in our separate apartment. We are there to greet you and introduce you to your holiday home. We leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace, though we are always available. We enjoy meeting our guests, so please feel that you can approach us if you need some local information or if a problem arises. We are both English, but Elaine speaks German and French.
