Description
Our home sits just off the road to Meso Gerakari, set in about three quarters of an acre of grounds covered with lemon, orange and olive trees.
On the ground floor as you enter you will find a fully fitted kitchen, large living room with dining table comfortable seating and under stair shower room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a double and two twins, a further shower room and three balconies. Both shower rooms are fitted with Grohe showers together with marble floors and shower trays.
Stepping out of the the living room you can either admire the sea views from the front terrace, or retreat to the large rear terrace, shaded by its own olive trees. Here you will find tables and seating where you and your friends or family can relax with a drink, and gaze out across the Ionian Sea,
Stairs lead from the front of the house down to the completely private 8 by 4 metre pool, and on both that level and the next one you will find a citrus grove which consists of about 40 lemon and orange trees, ideal for whenever you need a gin and tonic.

“Lovely home away from home in the sun”
This is a lovely villa that makes you feel that you have just walked into that villa that you have always wanted to own. The photos on the website do not do it full justice. We were contacted enough - but not overly - in the build up and met at the airport. Walking in to the villa itself was such a lovely feeling as this is clearly someone's home and not just a sterile building that is rented out during the summer. Lots of homely touches - a stocked fridge of basics, books galore, knock knacks abound. You really do walk in and sigh. We arrived at night so to wake up in the morning and have that wonderful view of the sea, Kefalonia sparkling on the horizon; the sound of cicadas; and lemon,lime and olive trees beyond the pool was amazing and views that we never tired of. Some very good tavernas and a couple of various sized supermarkets within easy walking distance even in that freak heatwave that was going on whilst we had the pleasure of visiting. We didn't hire a car but relied on taxis as and when we needed them. They are happy to take five in a taxi (!) but just not from/to the airport... maybe worth hiring a car for a trip to Kefalonia on the ferry and driving around over there but we didn't want or need to. Worth doing a couple of the organised trips which are promoted constantly in all the main towns and I would thoroughly recommend the the day-long boat trip around the island's coastline. Jumping off a ship into those turquoise Ionian waters is a must! Also worth visiting the main towns just to see some people - either in car, quad bike, moped or taxi. Buses sporadic and difficult to find! If you are looking for the 'tourist hotspots' of Sivili or Alykes or even Laganas and Zakynthos town then this villa is probably not for you. If you are looking for a quiet holiday with a beach within easy reach, tavernas to hand, a private pool and wonderful views then your imaginary home from home Psarou villa is for you.
