“Nice but not luxury”

This is an ok apartment and Rene was very enthusiastic, helpful and quick to respond and sort out one issue we had. However, some of the other reviews paint a different picture to the one we experienced. For starters, how anyone could say this apartment is in the heart of Hermanus defies belief. It is out near the NEW Harbour which means it is at least a 5-6 minute drive from the main town. You have to take a car if you want to eat in one of the restaurants or go shopping. Not much choice of eating places at the new harbour. Also, comparison has been made to a five star hotel - probably by someone who has never stayed in one! No towel rails, no dressing table, only one small bedside table. Using the second bedroom apart from wardrobes there is nowhere to put anything - hopeless. Having said all that the place was very clean but luxury? I don't think so.

“Great place to stay in Hermanus. Nicely decorated and very comfortable.”

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and had a great time at this very comfortable apartment. Only downside, it was not as close to the waterfront as I thought (only 3 minutes by car though).
