“Perfect in Every Way”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2018

Wow! Three Bears is a delightful, quirky little cottage in the lovely peaceful village of Eyam. We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect for exploring the Peak District. The owner Elaine provided us with all the information required for our stay along with recommendations of places to visit & eat. The bottle of fizz & chocolates were very much appreciated & the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The Aga was great, I loved it. It looked scary to use at first but was surprisingly easy to cook on. The locals/neighbours were very friendly & gave us some good tips of where to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Three Bears Cottage & I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Response from the owner Thank you for the review. Although the village can get very busy with people going to the museum, St Lawrence Church and Saxon Cross, Eyam Hall and the craft centre I think it feels very quiet and peaceful because the cottage walls are so thick and it is just that little bit set back from the road. Also thank you so much for leaving the place so clean and tidy - much appreciated! Hope to welcome you back some time ..... but don't leave it 20+ years this time!

Response from the owner Glad you enjoyed your stay and managed to make friends with the Aga! I don't supply tea bags as they tend to go off and taste stale. It is lovely to hear though that the shop owners supplied some - the people of Eyam are very friendly and accommodating.
