“A broken sofa bed, blocked bathroom drain caused a rocky start but otherwise good”

“Good value for money”

Reviewed 19 Feb 2013

We stayed here at the beginning of February and had a great time. The apartment was exactly as the photo shows, it was spacious, clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again. The office in Bansko were very helpful, we were dropped off at the office by our transfer and the lady in the office then gave us a lift to the apartment which is located in the Regnum Aparthotel. The only thing I would say is that you need to be aware that the office is only open certain hours so if you need to check in/out when the office is closed you will have to pay extra for them to come out and meet you, however you are made aware of this before you travel. The apartment is located a 5/10 minute walk from the gondola and there is a free shuttle bus running from the hotel regularly which can take you back and forth if you don't want to walk. Beware the gondola gets pretty busy, it doesn't open until 8.30am but if you want to avoid what could be described as a rugby scrum you need to get there at 8am. The spa was excellent offering a swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as a variety of treatments if you wanted them (although you had to pay extra for these). You had to pay for Wifi in the room however free wifi was available in the lobby although it was a bit slow. The skiing was excellent, with plenty of snow. Lots of places to eat out and very cheap. Would go back again.

“A magical place to have a snowboarding holiday”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2011

Bulgaria is a fab place to go snowboarding. We've been to France a number of times and I'd prefer to return to Bulgaria anyday (infact- we've booked to go back in Jan 2012). The boarding is great, friendly locals, tasty but not too pricey food and good apres-ski! I would happily recommend Apartment Watson and this is where we are returning to in Jan. It's in a great location, it takes 2 mins to walk to the ski lifts- but if you're super lazy there is a bus that will take you for a small fee (can't remember what now, but it was cheap). The apartment is comfy and warm, comfy bed, good cooking facilities and a good power shower. The balcony overlooks the river- it was lovely to open the balcony doors at night time, hear the river below and look at the moonlight over the mountains! We paid for breakfast in the hotel on some mornings and it was good value. There is also a swimming pool and sauna- it was so good to warm up in the sauna after a long day on the snow! Bansko isn't massive, so we weren't really far from any of the amenities (10 mins walk max to some of the lovely bars and restaurants). However, we were far enough away to only hear the river running below at night time (and not noisy drunk people!). Can't wait to go back! Excellent apartment
