“The Cabin was Perfect!”
We took a weekend family trip to Big Bear and stayed in this cabin. I hadn't been to Big Bear since I was 6 years old, but all those fun memories came back when I walked into this cabin. The Jacuzzi worked great, the heat worked fine, and we could even see the lake from our big patio. Even the dog (who never gets to go anywhere with us) had a great time jumping in the lake, which really was walking distance from our place. Thanks, BigBearVacations! The service was excellent, and the cabin was everything I expected it to be.

“Decieving... Not what we expected”
This was our first time visiting Big Bear. It was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we wanted to spend it in the snow. My wife have never seen snow before so it was exciting to be able to get away to play in the snow. The trip was awesome however the cabin we selected was not what we expected. It was much older looking in person. The patio furniture was in bad shape, the screen door was torn from maybe a small dog, the rooms were too small and very cold (good thing we brought our own space heater). The two couches were nasty (spots and spills on them), they need to be cleaned or replaced, I suggest replacing. The carpet upstairs and in the bathroom downstairs needs to be replaced badly. Racking should never substitute vacuuming. Being in the medical field I would highly suggest it before it becomes a medical lawsuit for those that may have allergies. The service we received in the office was excellent. Everyone was extremely nice. We had a chance to look around at other property's to know what we may rent the next time.
Response from the manager Thank you for taking your time to give us your feedback, as it allows us to address concerns that our guests might have with a vacation home. You'll be pleased to know that we are in the processing of replacing he old table with a new one for the front deck. It was snow damaged, his is common in Big Bear for outdoor item as is screen damage. We strive to have our homes at clean state for your arrival. We do have an in-house housekeeping staff to rectify any issues that may arise during your stay. Once again we appreciate your review and hope to have the opportunity to help you with a future stay in Big Bear.
We had a great weekend but for the price and amenities staying at Motel 6 was a better bet. The fireplace and hottub where the saving grace.
Response from the manager Thank you for your constructive criticism. We appreciate all feedback that our guests have to offer and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.
“Super Coazy Winter Retreat”
This was the perfect little get away after years of not having a vacation. It's walking distance to the lake and a short drive to the village square. There is a small brewery also withing walking distance. Cozy is definitely the word to describe this little cabin. I don't think I would stay here in the summer as the two bedrooms are up stairs in almost a loft/attic location. I would imagine that it would get uncomfortably hot up there during the day. The heater and the fire place work very well. The kitchen appliances are all top of the line though they could use more coffee mugs. If you are staying and planning on drinking wine, you will want to bring your own wine glasses. Warning, the hot tub is in the front yard near the road (a little weird). My suggestion to the owners would be to put a privacy lattice or fence that just blocks off the view from the road and the neighbors. This cabin is going on my list of places to return and stay for Big Bear.

“There Really are Places Like Home!”
My wife and I recently moved down to the la area from Washington and we were ready for a break from the fast-paced, crowded lifestyle of Southern California. We missed everything the Pacific Northwest had to offer - wildlife, wilderness, hiking, lakes & rivers, snow, mountain biking, etc. Little did we know that we could have that here and it was just a short drive away! Our cabin was awesome; very cozy, well-maintained and conveniently located. Not to mention the fireplace and hot tub, which were very nice amenities. We were very happy that we were able to bring our dog along, too. I'd definitely recommend Big Bear Lake and this cabin to any of our friends and family.
“The trip was relaxing and calming.”
The cabin was wonderful. Was surprised to find it was equipped with so much stuff. We didn't need to bring much with us. The cabin was in a convenient location and lots of stuff around it. Would definitely go back again.
“Check before you buy”
Ameneties were fine, very dirty windows, broken dining room table, up stairs bedrooms 120 degrees until 6PM,patio furniture very broken, electric outlets all overloaded(fire hazard),two wash cloths for 4 people, all drapes were broken, place needs paint.
We had a wonderful two night trip! The cabin was very cute and cozy. We enjoyed the big porch and lovely walking neighborhood. We wish we could have stayed even longer as we were just starting to unwind and relax. We loved it and would like to visit again.
“Not Enthusiastic about Visiting again!”
It was a disappointment. Period. The Cabin for aokay though we could not use the upstairs bedrooms and had to camp out on the Futon due to the excessive heat. It's a sauna and I don't care if they say it will cool down and homes in Big Bear do not need aC -- yes! they do. Sorry! The rooms did not cool down till the early morning! Had to find 'Clean Bear' to throw out garbage - never heard of that before - throwing out your own garbage when you are being charged for 'cleaning' !! For the kind of money they charge - guests should atleast get sufficient number of towels especially when they are there for almost a week! Guess you are expected to bring your own everything!! Again -- it was a disappointment.. Not going there again for sure!!
“filthy and broken down”
When we arrived, loose stairs, and a torn up screen door greeted us,along with an unkept landscape and a dirty spa.Several charcoal grilles were on the deck, one with no legs, one with a broken handle, and a propane grille-with an empty bottle, and no handle to open the lid.But-there was a very small little weber grill in great condition. When we entered, the couch was stained, the freezer was in need of defrosting, and the range hood was missing knobs. The fireplace front was loose-letting smoke in the room when burning a fire. The bathroom was worse.Toenails on the un-vacuumed floor, mold all around the tub.the shower door was also off track. The toilet and sink were actually cleen-except for the ants and spiders-this is the mountains after all. Upstairs was a relief.many fans, and adequate linens.the beds were also very firm and comfortable.the unit did have a new heating system-which worked great.small consolation for such a nice neighborhood.
