'The Retreat Villa' is situated in the pretty village area of Peristerona near Polis in Paphos district. Accessed by private driveway (between the fruit orchards) into the extensive and secluded private grounds, this impressive stone built detached villa has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the Cyprus sunshine.
It has 4 bedrooms (en-suite to master with jacuzzi shower) and sleeps 8. It has a 12m x 6m private swimming pool with Roman steps, full air-conditioning, large flat screen TV with IPTV & DVD (TVs in all bedrooms also), washing machine, dishwasher, large stone built BBQ with adjacent table to seat 8, a circular shaded bar area, jacuzzi shower to master en-suite, jacuzzi bath in main bathroom and much more.
The setting is both serene and spectacular with the rolling hills of the nearby villages giving views you'll remember forever.

“Tranquillity, with Stunning Views”
We stayed at this beautiful Villa called “The Retreat” in July 2018, located a few miles south of Polis. The Villa is set reasonably high, affording it sublime 180 degrees views across the southern panorama and looking around in the distance there are farmland parcels and one-off villas. Most of the time, this is coupled with that golden sound track of “silence”. The Villa is well proportioned. Construction, layout, furniture and internal decoration are all well done and more than adequate. There were only the two of us and we used the en-suite bedroom upstairs and spent most of our time outside. Dark wood used internally makes the inside space dark with the shutters closed, but this is a modern villa. The swimming pool is gorgeous and its non-rectangular shape makes it look even nicer. For us, the garden was very important as we wanted to take lots of photographs of animals and biodiversity. There are many fruit trees which add to the overall pleasance of walking around the garden. For those interested in playing games there is table-tennis, pool table, dart boards and table football but the swimming pool and the garden win hands down. There are generous settings of tables, benches and chairs outside and a BBQ. Stone-clad walls and shutters keep the inside just cool enough downstairs but in July, at night, the air conditioning is needed to take edge of the excessive heat upstairs in the bedroom. The swimming pool affords complete privacy and this together with peace and quiet attracted us to this Villa. A couple of miles straight down the road is Byrons Supermarket which will cater for most needs but for comprehensive food and drinks shopping there is Papantoniu Supermarket in Polis along with a very good fish mongers opposite the pharmacy. Polis is also the closest beach. If one’s looking for a holiday property that is a perfect “getaway” with all that’s needed to hand, a fabulous swimming pool area, garden, all in total privacy then one need look no further. Simply wonderful.

“The Retreat is just that. Well equipped and very comfortable”
The Retreat is is situated 2.9 km off the main road between Pathos and Polis (take the turning to Periserona). A stunning drive up the road with both sides of the road covered in stunning pink and white bushes. Extremely well equipped with plenty of different places to sit at - especially outside. The pool was fabulous and by August will be the biggest godsend as it will be so hot! The BBQ with electric motor a fantastic way to cook - without someone being stuck in side! Cool and dark in side with the well designed shutters and Fly shutters on all the windows for during the day... Brilliant! The owners were discreet but when we did call were there within minutes. Lovely open views. We were able to skinny dip as the villa is not overlooked! The pictures do it justice. I would highly recommend this villa - There is a charity shop on the way to Polis where you can buy 2nd hand DVDs if you need. There is also an XBox (apparently!!). We did not turn the television on as sitting by the pool was perfect! Supermarkets 2.9 km away and you can get almost everything.
