Description

The Villa is the ultimate location to unwind and enjoy really unspoilt Turkey. Fantastic walking, canoes and rowing boat, snorkelling over ancient pottery, boat trips to wonderful bays and islands, and excellent restaurants within strolling distance or who offer free transfers by road or boat. The area is steeped in ancient history and the locals are genuinely hospitable and helpful.

“A wonderful family holiday”

Villa Julia proved just the right place for the fifteen of us spanning three generation. Aged fron 68 to 4 years old we all found it a great place to be. it is homely, comfortable and unpretentious with 6 bedrooms, all en-suite, and a total of four double beds and five singles. The outside space is great and we only went indoors to prepare food or sleep. The pool and surrounding area is good and has a shower and toilet which were very useful. There are plenty of tables and chairs for outside dining and a big veranda with sofas for night time chilling. The views are amazing in every direction and the only sounds are natural; sea, birds, insects, oh and the Muezzin if the wind is in the right direction. The beach is gravelly sand and water shoes are essential, the canoes and rowing boat were great fun for all. The villagers are friendly, kind and helpful. Gulcan, the housekeeper is lovely. Not a chic boutique destination but oh so much nicer and Turkish! We loved it.

Response from the owner Since this review was written, the kitchen has been renewed (including the potato peeler), the other plumbing issues addressed, the canoe repaired (sadly they get roughly treated by guests and then have to go for repair), and we have new dinghy oars. Our usual transfer driver, Mustafa, was very upset by the comments regarding the transfer.....unfortunately he had not been able to drive on this occasion and he had used another licensed driver.... Mustafa is a very good driver who is praised by all who use him.
