Close to everything but far from ordinary.

Honeyway Cottage, built in 1650, is a charming thatched cottage with a tranquil quality located in Whittlesey nr Peterborough Cambridgeshire, England. A real piece of history. Honeyway Cottage is set along a quiet lane 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The Cottage has a lovely quiet garden area with furniture and lawn, an additional kitchen garden gives guests plenty of opportunity for relaxing in the peaceful outdoors.

Indoors the main living area was constructed in the mid 17th century. Honeyway Cottage. The sitting room has oak beam and an Inglenook fireplace. The second smaller bedroom is located on the ground floor with a quality, easy foldout futon sofa bed.

The first floor galleried bedroom has vaulted ceiling and oak beams. A modern full kitchen and bathroom have been added to the ground floor.

We provide free Wifi and tea and coffee during your stay. Bed linens and towels are also provided. We can also supply a cot & highchair.

Kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. Microwave & coffee maker . Washing machine, fridge freezer. Whittlesey Town centre is a 5 minute walk away with a good selection of shops and services . Several pubs and places to eat . We have a full list of places and recommendations in the Cottage .The bus route runs into Peterborough and beyond, with the bus station in Whittlesey & a stop 100 yards from Honeyway .

Whittlesey has its on rail station ' Whittlesea'' . Service run from all over the country here . Peterbouorgh & Cambridge are easily accessible by rail. we have a good local taxi service .

Main living area with wooden ceiling and floors. Lovely Inglenook fire place with real flame effect woodburner. HD smart tv and great WiFi

Wonderful galleried bedroom and sitting room dating back to 1650. Wood floors. Oak beams. Iphone speaker dock.

Downstairs is the second bedroom with top quality Ikea sofa bed. Very comfortable

Full modern kitchen and bathroom are also on the ground floor. Cooker, washer,microwave fridge freezer, coffee maker included.

Walking distance to the town centre. Bus stop is close by & train station is a ten min walk or 5 mins by car. The garden is a real sun trap, tables & chairs for enjoying the outdoors.

We have cycles guests are able to use whilst they stay with us.

Getting around

A605 in main road to Peterborough. Bus takes 20 mins and stops 5 mins from the cottage. Whittlesea train station is a 5 min car journey or a 15 minute walk away. Easy to get train to Peterborough, Cambridge Ely and beyond. We are close to the GreenWheel cycle way into Peterborough. Lovely walk or cycle through the lovely flat fenland country side along the river Nene.

Keys will be left in safe place for you to enter the cottage yourselves ( details on booking). We live close by and love our local area. We are on call 24 hrs should you need assistance just ask

“Excellent Pretty Cottage”

Lovely cottage and very comfortable, it had every thing you would need even dog bowls and was very well located for visiting Peterborough and the surrounding area with an easy walk to the town which had several handy takeaways and supermarkets. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it, owners Paul and Sasha were very friendly and helpful especially since we left our coats behind and Sasha very kindly posted them back to us.

How do damage deposits work?
