Description from owner

Description

Once part of the local village brewery, the cottage at School Square packs a lot into its tiny size.Completely refurbished in 2012,it provides ultra modern facilities alongside period Victorian features, Cotswold stone walls and old beams. With lovely views from all windows, a cosy lounge, modern oak fitted kitchen and dining area, and a bedroom tucked under the eaves, this is country living in style. What's more there's a pretty cottage garden out front to relax in.

Situated in the five valleys area of the Cotswolds, this is a perfect venue for enjoying long country walks, or visiting Cotswold villages , manor houses, and national trust gardens. .

Please note that this is a typical Victorian cottage. It is quirky and unique, so if you are looking for modern hotel type accommodation this cottage is not for you. The stairs are steep and winding, and the exposed Cotswold stone walls will never be totally dust free despite our best efforts.

Further details indoors

King sized double bed with comfortable pocketed spring mattress . Wide flat screen TV .Original Victorian hearth and other period features.>Laura Ashley soft furnishings.

Further details outdoors

A cottage garden is situated to the front of the property, recently re-landscaped to provide a new patio area, footpaths, dry stone walling, shrubs and flower beds. A table and chairs are provided for your enjoyment.Parking is to be found alongside the nearby Bell Inn.

“Not as expected”

We stayed at half pint cottage in between Christmas and New Year. Surrounding area is lovely and there is a great dog friendly pub up the road that serves beautiful food. The cottage itself is cozy an… More

Response from the owner Given that the cottage had been redecorated from top to bottom just two weeks before this guest arrived, and that a full post decoration clean had been carried out, we find this review rather hard to believe. Dogs are welcome everywhere where there are no carpets. Unfortunately some dog owners are less considerate than the majority of others Bin bags are provided. The summer house is used to store the barbecue for guests who can sit here in summer. In the middle of winter it is hardly appropriate . Is someone trying to sabotage us?
