Description

Our lovely 1800's converted church/ home is perfect for an extraordinary getaway. Gather in our country kitchen with 8 burner cast iron stove and counter space for chefs galore to concoct dream meals, relax in the great hall on comfy couches or gather at the Steinway grand piano. We have 5 beautiful bedrooms that will sleep up to 14 people comfortably and 5 full baths including 3 claw foot tubs with gloriously full pressure shower) and the fourth tub also has a powerful shower and jacuzzi jets. Turbospeed WIFI internet access throughout the home.

The Courtyard garden is a wonderful place to entertain outside with a new Weber BBQ, herb and flower garden and fruit trees.

We are located in the historic Rondout district of Kingston just up the hill from shops, galleries and restaurants, marinas and rail trail hikes and short drives to waterfalls and lakes and hikes in the mountains with easy access to Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Bard College, Rosendale and Saugerties for antiquing, shopping, concerts and more restaurants.

Interaction with guest

When you rent the whole property we are on hand to orient the guests about the property and then we hand over the keys and guests have full 24 access to the kitchen and Great Hall while we leave on our own retreat and return at checkout time. We have a Ring Doorbell that goes right to our phones so if you ever need to contact us during your stay you'll have immediate access.

House rules

Smoking is permitted in the outdoor garden area only. No smoking anywhere indoors. We are a recycling house; single stream recycling containers are in the kitchen and courtyard. Composting bin is for raw vegetables and coffee grinds, no cooked food or meats.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
