Riverside water parks with beaches are within easy reach. Nearby town 1.5 miles away with small supermarket, bakers, butcher, bars, hairdressers, restaurant, garage etc. Set in the heart of the Loire valley with the wine appellations of Bourgeuil, Chinon, Champigny & Saumur nearby.

This detached cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and have been tastefully decorated by the French owners. The lounge/diner offers a stylish and comfortable room to put your feet up after a day of exploring the many local attractions.

The house features a charming terrace set within a gravelled enclosed courtyard next to the house with table chairs and BBQ. There is generous selection of plants and flowers which provide a riot of colour making the area perfect for enjoying a refreshing apperitif.

“Rural retreat!”

We have recently returned from a two week break at this lovely gite,it is aptly named as there are flowers everywhere!The gite itself is a lovely spacious home from home,all mod cons and Anne Marie had it well stocked with anything you would need for your stay,including a welcome pack on our arrival!Two bikes were on offer for cycling the lovely flat roads around the village and loads of info on the area in brochures were included too.We were presented with a half dozen fresh eggs our first morning there,a lovely touch!Anne Marie and her husband Domenique were on hand for any queries but not intrusive and went to great trouble to sort out the English channels on TV for us.The area itself is vineyard country,very picturesque,plenty of degustation!Nearby the village of Borgueil holds a great weekly market and La Trattoria and La Gallette Bourgeilloise are recommended for food! Le Capiteine municipal park provided us with beach and swimming facilities and there is another swimming pool for public use in Brain sur Allonnes.Carrefour is a 5 min.drive for groceries or Hyper U further out is a bigger supermarket.Day trips to Tours or Saumur are within easy reach as are some lovely villages to just wander through. All in all this gite was a great way to experience french living like the locals,highly recommended!
