“Best Porch of the Year!”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2014

It was an experience we will not soon forget. The out outdoor living area is an amazing space! Very large and extremely comfortable, with fantastic views of the bay entrance with its spectacular sunsets, to the mooring area with everything from dinghies to mega yachts. Excellent central location on the island, which has the friendliest locals in the Caribbean!

“Wonderful Stay at the Pelican House!”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2011

My family & I had a wonderful stay at the Pelican House, our trip couldn't have gone smoother, from the airport pickup by "Smally" the driver, to "Johnson" the porter meeting us at the ferry dock & taking all of our bags up the hill to where the Pelican House is perched overlooking the turquoise waters of Marigot Bay. There was plenty of room in the house & each bedroom & even the kitchen all open up to the large open air deck with a spectacular view. Each morning we were greeted with various small birds & the colorful flowery vine seems to creep right through the railing on the deck. We enjoyed the local restaurants which were close by, either at the bottom of the hill at Dolittles, or across the bay at Chateau Mygo, among others. From the deck you can see the sunrise over the mountains to the East & then at the end of the day look out between the cliffs & see it sink into the Caribbean Sea. The grounds around the home & the Oasis Marigot were well manicured & lush with tropical plants & flowers, it was fun to explore the paths around the property. I would certainly recommend the Pelican House to anyone visiting the Island. I hope to get back soon!

“Excellent choice for 2 couples with children or a large family”

Each of the bedrooms has its own bathroom which is great. Most of the living space is outdoors, very large covered area, with tables, sitting areas. Beautiful views of Marigot Bay. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need. You have to take a small boat to reach this home, which was no problem it was available anytime day or night. We enjoyed having a restaurant below, even if it was just to enjoy the happy hour and meet other travelers. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars and I think they should consider updating the keys to the home. Each room (4) had its own skeleton key so you had a large cluster of keys, at times it was diffcult to get the middle bedroom door open. Nice location on the island would love to go back to St Lucia and would definately consider renting this home again..

Response from the owner We have since provided a house key and individual room keys for each room so guests are not required to enter the house together.

“Picturesque”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2010

We stayed in Pelican House for the week of Christmas and couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place! The house is so charming and has the most amazing views. The only way to adequately describe it is to say it was picturesque. The bedrooms were the perfect size and the kitchen was completely equipped with everything we could possibly need. Our favorite part of the home itself was that incredible porch with abundant seating and ceiling fans to keep us cool. I have no doubt that we will return to Pelican House again and again.

“Wonderful sunsets”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2010

Beautiful place to stay and relax. Pelican House has everything you need, Never need to leave the bay. Sunsets were magnificant. Drinks on the porch were ideal. Beach is quiet and relaxing. Restaurants are good. Best part is the house, it was perfect.
