“sensational apartment and village”
This was a great two bedroom apartment, all facilities and comforts. Check in was easily facilitated and nothing seemed to be a trouble. highly recommended with views out the windows over vineyards whilst still central to Riquewihr and all its restaurants.
“As luxurious as described and with very friendly owners”
The alsatian Hart was exactly as described on the internet. It is a very beautiful luxurious apartment with 2 spacious bedrooms, each with their own toilet and bathroom. Ideal for 2 couples. No bad surprises. It is immaculate, beautifully decorated and everything you need is there. It was so nice not to have to go out and have to buy things such as oil, vinegar, salt, toilet paper, coffee, and enough washing machine and dishwasher tablets, all basic items which one should not have to worry about when arriving anywhere with the word "luxury" attached to it but which are not always on offer in rental properties. The owners were very welcoming, and the manageress very helpful. It was quiet and yet only within a few steps of the village centre. My friend and I loved the apartment so much we wished we could have bought it! As for what to do: it is very conveniently placed and we drove to Colmar, Strasbourg, drove some of the wine route and also drove the magnificent route des cretes. Koenisburg castle and Kaisesberg town are also a must. Plus there are some lovely walks from the village. Plenty to do in a week. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.
Response from the owner Thank you for spending some time with us in Riquewihr and sharing your experience. Rebuilding that old historical winery and designing the apartments was quite a technical (and administrative) challenge. We did our best and as we do it always, even for the smallest of our places, we decorate the apartment as if it was for ourselves to live in it. Knowing that you like it is then our best reward. Thank you again and be welcome back anytime!
“A beautiful place to stay”
We stayed in this lovely apartment for 2 weeks after a week in the Marco Polo. Both the amenities and the decor were excellent with the decor reflecting the local area. The view from both bedrooms was stunning, looking out on to the neighboring vineyards. Immediate access to the town was a huge advantage as was the list of recommended restaurants and local boulangerie !Valerie, the manager, was available when needed and responded with great charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment ,using it as a base to explore La Route des Vins, the Vosges Mountains, the Black Forest etc.Highly recommended indeed.
Response from the owner Thank you for staying with us. We rebuilt that old 16th century winery and were able to create 6 new holiday apartments surrounding a small garden which is quite rare in a medieval village. Just a hundred meters away from the main street of the village and facing a famous vineyard the location is ideal. Riquewihr is the jewel of the Alsace Wine Route and looks today exactly as it did in the 16th Century. It is also a very practical base to visit all Alsace, the Vosges mountains and even nearby Germany and Switzerland.
“Nicest apartment we've ever stayed in!”
This place was truly special. What a combination of the old world and new. Our apartment was built in the 1500's yet the amenities and finishes were modern and first class. Every little detail was covered such as: AC, Large Flat Screen Hdtv, WiFi, Coffee maker, Espresso maker, Washer/Dryer, Large Towels, Dark Curtains, Jet tub etc. Martine and Jean Paul clearly appreciate the needs and desires of travelers because they put a lot of thought into the apartment and details. The city of Riquewihr was so lovely and quaint. We will definitely return and stay here. Thank you.
“Excellent experience during the stay in 2011 Xmas”
Jean Paul and Martine provide us not only and gite/hotel services, it like my friend to provide us a welcome gathering, short city orientation. Jean-Paul give us a heart to provide the top quality vacation house services. The room just renovated. All house facility is ready, it all alsatian design. We love it a lot.
“Romantic getaway in the alsace vineyard!”
What a lovely place! Difficult to say what was best between the location (Riquewihr is a must see!), the comfort of the apartment or the kindness of our guests who did everything to make our stay memorable! The apartment is exactly as described on the website, a luxury place with all the modern comfort in an historic building with great views over the medieval city and the surrounding vineyards. We will be back!
