Description

Chalet Tressud was built to our design over 20 years ago but it has now been completely refurbished. There are 8/10 beds in 4 twin/double en suite bedrooms on the top floor. On the entrance level there is a large living room with a modern stove; a dining area with an extendable table sitting up to 12; a practically designed, open plan kitchen with a laundry corner; a comfortable, well equipped TV snug with UK, free to view channels and an extensive DVD library – this room has a double bed settee so it could be used as an extra bedroom, instead of a TV room, for larger parties; and an entrance hall with a small office space and a cloakroom and shower.

With the most stunning views east towards Les Hauts Forts, the Pointe de Nyon and on to the Dents du Midi in Switzerland; westwards down the valley towards Cluses, the Chaine du Bargy and a glimpse of the Pointe Percée; and south towards the Les Gets pistes… and the sunshine, Chalet Tressud has a unique location.

There is wifi throughout, together with a number of ethernet internet access points.

There is a large balcony from which to enjoy the view and, later in the winter season, on which to have your pre-dinner drinks. The TV snug leads out onto a second decked terrace from which there is access to our fantastic outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi,

We have a heated boot room and storage for skis and snow boards.

Between Lake Geneva and Mt Blanc, in a mountain pass at 1200 metres altitude, Les Gets is our secret corner of paradise. An hour and a bit from Geneva Airport, approximately 8 hours from most channel ports, it is easily accessible whatever your mode of transport. Once you have arrived you are sure to be charmed by the town's traditional mountain village atmosphere and Savoyard wood and stone chalet architecture: no modern apartment blocks here.

We are developing a new and exciting concept in chalet holidays which will offer you the independence of self catering together with flexible catering options.

On arrival, you will find a well stocked larder with all the basics you will require on a self-catered holiday, and the beds made up with our freshly laundered linen. The bathrooms will be stocked with a supply of goodies.

Each morning we will happily collect your bread and pre-ordered croissants, 'pain au chocolate' or 'pain aux raisins' for your breakfast while you put the coffee on!

If we have had heavy snow overnight, we will be out clearing the drive ready for your departure to the slopes.

We are offering four packages; the basic package A is included in the basic rental price. Three further options exist to provide further variety, from ready cooked meals to our resident chef (Jo) coming to cook and serve dinner for you. We can also, of course, discuss any other catering requirements.

The beds are zip and link in two of the room so can be double or twins. In Room 1 there is a single chair bed and a double bed, so a good family room and in Room 4 there are bunks and a single bed, so a good dortoir.

“Spacious & Comfortable with Fantastic Views”

The chalet was as described. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful (good local knowledge) and flexible with our early arrival and late departures requests. Views from the chalet were stunning even on the morning it rained - watching the weather roll in and out was fantastic! The chalet is well equipped with movies and board games should the weather keep you indoors for a while. The walk into Les Gets was pleasant - along quite lanes, with a shortcut across a meadow and through a wood. There is loads to do in Les Gets and the surrounding area - make sure you get a summer multi pass (ask the owners) excellent value!

If Joanna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
