Welcome to Eagles Rise, as my mother named it!
My home is based high up on a hill in Central North TASMANIA, with views of the ocean & yet only 10 minutes drive to the main town, Ulverstone, & the beach and I share this wonderful space with my beaut Irish Wolfhound cross Tippi! More photos are on my fb page 'Eagles Rise - Short Term Accommodation'
The accommodation available is a studio room (the cabin) with a kitchen area & your own separate bathroom. A cozy weekend getaway, with the comfiest queen bed!
There are dvds available for your use, as well as some well loved books & board games.
A bath seat also available on request, should it be needed for an easier shower.
The cabin is attached to the main house with a separate hallway in between & has it's own entrance, as well as West facing doors, allowing the sunsets to flood the cabin with light. There is also a little private garden on the Eastern side of the house, where you can have your morning coffee, or dine under the stars. There is a large BBQ also available for your use.
A picnic backpack & camping chairs are available too, should you wish to go somewhere for a picnic! There are also board games, books & DVDs for the rainy days & a set of boules for the sunny ones! :)
The property is on 35 acres in a rural area, with many tourist attractions nearby, such as Leven Canyon, Gunns Plains Caves, Wings Wildlife Park, The Nut at Stanley, & Cradle Mountain, which is 80 kilometers away.
It's a great spot to base yourself whilst traveling around this area of Tasmania, or even if you are just breezing through!.
Being in a pocket of many creative cottage industries, there is a myriad of art galleries to explore, as well as antique stores and lots of little cafes to relax in and drink excellent coffee! Penguin beach is only 15 minutes away, where there is a large Sunday market to browse.
The nearest airport is Devonport Airport, 25 minutes drive from the house. Devonport harbour, where the Spirit of Tasmania comes in from Melbourne, is only 20 minutes. A flight from Melbourne to Devonport is around one hour. Launceston Airport is an hour & a half drive away & to Hobart from Devonport, it is around a three & a half to four hours drive.
Please note, there is no 2 night minimum stay, however, each stay incurs $25 towards the cleaning/changeover fee :)

- Believe the hype. This place is a beautiful retreat in the hills, it's only 1.5 hr (picturesque) drive into cradle mountain national park... which made it a perfect alternative to more expensive accommodation closer to the site - aside from that there are plenty of other attractions in the vicinity. - What a lovely studio space to stay in. It has this very relaxing country feel to it & is in an excellent spot to drive to all of the north coast & Cradle Mountain. “Very comfortable, quiet and tranquil”
Our stay was very comfortable, quiet and tranquil, with an excellent host. The cabin was spacious, fully fitted out with a very comfortable bed. We felt relaxed and happy to be there.

Some still love the opportunity for having a bath, especially after a hike around Cradle Mountain!, so I couldn't get rid of it! And, some that need support whilst showering, a bath seat then becomes ideal :) I hope it doesn't put you off coming back!
