“Wonderful”

Reviewed 5 May 2013

We stayed in the apartment for 3 days. Marinko and his family were incredibly hospitable, generous and kind, going above and beyond to help us during our stay (from helping us book bus tickets, to lending us some olive oil). The apartment is immaculate, modern and homely. It has everything you could need, and was bigger on the inside than we expected, with air-con and a very comfy and massive bed. The panorama view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and a great place to sit and watch the sun go down whilst drinking a glass of wine. The location is a fair few staircases up from the old town, but providing your physically fit enough for the challenge it's not too much of a issue- if anything it did us some good to get a bit extra exercise. I'll definitely be staying here next time I go to beautiful Dubrovnik. A fantastic experience, i'd recommend this accommodation to everyone.

“Enjoy breathtaking views of Dubrovnik whilst experiencing Croati”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2012

We stayed at apartment ante which is two floors below Ivana. Although the accommodation was not as modern as Ivana it was more spacious and still provided fantastic breathtaking views of the old town and island of Lokrum. Marinko and his family made us so welcome and their hospitality with homemade jam, juice and wine was lovely! We didn't mind the 274 steps to the accommodation but it may not suit everyone. The town of Dubrovnik is amazing and trips to Cavtat and Lokrum are a must. We could go back again and experience a totally different holiday there is so much to see and do!

“Vacation from a vacation”

My partner and I spent a 7 nights at apartment Ivana. The money we spent was worth every Kuna! Great views over Stari Grad which made for some really good afternoons eating cheese and cured meats (bought on a day trip into Montenegro) whilst enjoying a bottle of local red. We had been travelling for a couple of months by the time we got to Dubrovnik and it was a great place to relax for a week. Marinko and his family are great hosts and we would definately be giving him a call next time we go to Dubrovnik. (451 steps from the beach to the door of the apartment, yes, I counted them)

“Great view, nice host”

We had a great time here. The view of the old town and sea is fantastic. It is on the hill but only 10-15 minutes to the town and beach. The owner family is very friendly and they always gave us information we wanted. We will definitely go back.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2011

We stayed in apartment Petra in June 2011. Considering the price we were paying we thought it would be a tiny apartment and it was the last of Marinko's apartments available for our dates, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size with a queen bed and 2 seater couch, Sat TV and a/C that worked really well. Full ensuite bathroom (with toilet and shower) was a huge benefit, plus a little kitchenette and fridge, but most of all, the best thing was the view. We specifically wanted to stay in Ploce so we could have a view of the old town, it does mean a lot of steps but you have to in Dubrovnik to get the view. It was beautiful, absolutely perfect for the price and we spent a lot of time sitting on the little table on the balcony and looking over the adriatic. The family were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Marinko's lovely mother Maria did all of our washing for us (there was a lot too as we were near the end of our holiday on arrival), Marinko booked us a tour to Montenegro and even carried all our packs up to our apartment for us from the driveway. Maria met us with a welcome drink on arrival, and Marinko's father drove us when we needed an airport transfer. All prices were very reasonable and we really trusted this family and if we have the pleasure of returning to Dubrovnik we will 100% stay here again, highly recommended.

“An excellent stay!”

The apartment is very neat & clean, with everything you need available. The view of the old town from the balcony is fantastic!! It's really worth the walk from the old town. Marinko & his family are really nice & helpful. The stay makes our trip to Dubrovnik memorable!

“Excellent value apartment with amazing views”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2010

We stayed in Mia for a week in October and were really impressed. Marinko and his family were extremely welcoming, making the stay much more special than staying in a hotel. The apartment was amazing value for money, clean, comfortable and with an incredible view of the old town and Lokrum. One point you should note is that there are a fair number of steps to the apartment so it isn't really appropriate for older couples. We would certainly recommend this for younger couples though as the view you get is worth every step and being just outside of the old town means it's peaceful at night. If we ever returned to Dubrovnik this is definitely where we would stay again.

“Great Location”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2010

Great location overlooking Old Town and only 10 mins walk to entrance of Old Town and beach. Very comfortable apt. with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Owner & family are also very friendly and co operative with regard to airport transfers, recomendations on local amenities etc. Could not fault.

“Perfect Holiday apartment”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2010

Very friendly family atmosphere makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. Modern apartment with magnificent postcard view from our balcony over the Old city and marina. Owners of the house makes you feel more like you are visiting a family then renting an apartment, they have been very cheerful and friendly. Everything was working perfect during our stay, so we don't have to worry about anything just to enjoy our time in beautiful surroundings of Dubrovnik. We have also arranged pick up from the airport straight to the apartment through the same person for a little extra. Owner of the flat can also help with arranging trips to Montenegro or quite few other destinations and islands, or to rent a car so you can save time and convenience on this as pickup area for any prearranged trips is right next to the house. If we will be visiting Dubrovnik again, surely we will know where to stay for perfect, hassle free accommodation with a friendly atmosphere. I can recommend this apartment to anybody without any hesitation.

“Made our nights in Dubrovnik perfect!”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2010

This apartment is the perfect place to stay in Dubrovnik. Marinko, the owner, was incredibly helpful. When we arrived he came and met us on his motorcycle as we drove into town and we followed him to the apartment. Parking is free and right near the apartment, which is great. The apartment is lovely with everything possible you could want, and the balcony is amazing!!! I couldn't imagine a better view of the city. Beware, the view is only possible because the apartment sits on the hill overlooking the city, so there are some stairs to climb, but they were definitely worth it. There is a market nearby for food and right at the bottom of the stairs is the Old Town and a beach, so easy access to everything. I would highly recommend this apartment!
