Description

Chalet Poudreuse is incredibly cosy, luxurious and charming, with four double bedrooms each having en suite bathrooms (one of the bedrooms has 2 single beds in addition to the double bed and a TV/DVD so makes a good kids den). There is a lovely hot tub on the deck looking down the valley, a large fireplace, underfloor heating and plenty of hot water for the 5 baths (one of the bathrooms has two baths) to ensure warmth and comfort. Situated in the heart of the small village of Le Tour only fifteen minutes drive from Chamonix and about an hour and fifteen from Geneva airport, you are a few minutes walk from the ski lifts for Le Tour and Vallorcine which offer beautiful scenery and mixed level skiing including some superb off-piste opportunities. There are also nursery slopes and the ESF ski school within a few minutes walk for beginners. For even more variety, the other ski areas of Chamonix (Argentiere, Brevant, La Flegere, Les Houches) are an easy drive (5 - 20 minutes) or free bus ride away.

“Wonderfull days at Poudreuse”

We stayed at Chalet Poudreuse for a long weekend in January, 4 couples + 2 children (2yrs). The chalet may be difficult to spot from the outside, but inside it is very nicely done and you feel at home immediately. All rooms spacious with en-suite bathroom/toilet. Very large/nice communal areas on top-floor. Enjoying the outdoor jacuzzi with a beer after a full day of skiing is unbeatable. The chalet is located 3min walking from the children's slope and 3min walking from the main cabin-lift. Le Tour is very small (only two restaurants and no supermarkets), but larger towns only 5-10min drive away. We will definitely return.
