Description

Charming village house (built in 1649) restored with a modern touch, 3 bedrooms (Sleeps 7/9), one ensuite, separate WC, open living area with fire, glass fronted kitchen, dining area, garden. Village setting,Wifi, TV, DVD, wooden burner, garden, off street parking, close to main towns.

 

La Garance,  sleeps 7-9 people, situated at the foot of the Côte d'Or vineyard , halfway between Beaune and Chalon - sur - Saône. It is the ideal place to relax away from the town, with a garden of over 200m2 with a patio , swing , sandpit and a barbecue, that will delight young and old. A secure courtyard outside the house can accommodate a family sized car, so you can park it off road.

 

The house consists of 3 bedrooms, one of which is a master suite with ensuite bathroom.There are then 2 other bedrooms, one with double bed , and another with 3 single beds.Downstairs the sofa can unfold to allow sleeping space for 2 people.

The wonderfully light kitchen conservatory (fully equipped) will seduce you with its originality and brightness and you can enjoy your meal while admiring the ‘Montagne des Trois Croix’ (3 Cross Mountain).

In summer, a large bay window opens onto an outdoor terrace, so expands the size of the kitchen area. A custom blind on the bay windows will protect you from the hot weather in the summer and in winter, you can enjoy looking at the snow, in the warmth of the conservatory!

 

The house has a large laundry room equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. There is electric heating throughout the house, as well as a wood burning stove (there is an additional fee for wood) .

For people with allergies, the bedding is all specifically treated and there are no carpets.

There is a beautiful underground wine cellar that you can use to store your finest Burgundian purchases!

On request, we can offer you a selection of Burgundy wines of whom we personally know the owners / growers and can give you a list of good places to visit...

Response from the owner Merci pour votre commentaire suivant votre séjour au Gite La Garance. Comme je vous avais déjà dit, je suis vraiment désolée pour cette situation pas favorable. C’est vrai que comme vous l'avez mentionné, (et je vous avais prévenue avant votre arrive), j’étais à l’étranger pendant votre séjour, mais j’étais disponible par téléphone et par e-mail, et je avais fait sort que la femme de ménage soit à votre disposition en mon absence. Dès que j’ai reçu votre message concernant l’absence de la literie et les serviettes je suis entré en contact avec vous et la femme de ménage pour résoudre le problème. Malheureusement la où j’étais quand vous m’avez téléphoné, j’avait un très mauvaise réseau de portable, alors c’est pourquoi je ai dû répondre par SMS, pour vous répondre au plus vite et j’étais disponible à vous et je vous avait envoyé plusieurs messages pour vous rassurer qu’on allait résoudre le problème et je vous avais même contacté plusieurs fois pendant votre séjour pour être sure que tout se passait bien, et je n’ai jamais eu de retour…. Tout de suite après que j’ai eu votre message, j’ai demandé à la femme de ménage d'aller directement à la maison pour préparer les lits, dont elle avait oublié de les faire le jour avant votre arrivée et encore une fois, je m’excuse pour cela. Dans notre correspondance vous ne m’avez jamais informé que vous avez trouvé la maison pleine de poussière et les couverts sales. Si je l’avais su je aurais demandé à la femme de ménage de rectifier ceci pendant qu'elle était à la maison, le jour même de votre arrivée. Il y a un poêle à bois à la maison que vous étiez en mesure d'utiliser tout de suite pour chauffer la maison un peu plus et je vous ai offert le forfait bois et je vous avais offert du vin pour s’excuser de cette situation très rare. Nous prenons une grande fierté pour s’assurer que la maison est propre, bien rangé et bien préparés pour l'ensemble de nos locations et nous sommes toujours prêts à faire face si des situations mauvaises arrivent, et je pense que nous avons tout fait comme on a pu, au plus vite et nous avons résolu le problème le jour même. Je suis encore vraiment désolée si vous avez eu une mauvaise expérience dans cet établissement, mais ce était vraiment un cas unique en raison de la femme de ménage qui avait confondu deux locations et elle pensait que vous apportiez vos propres serviettes et la literie, qui ne était pas le cas.
