“Fantastic cottage.”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2016

This cottage is a fantastic place to stay. This is our third time here and would recommend to anyone. It is very well equipped, very warm, very comfortable. Jan is the perfect "landlady" and is very happy to help with any queries etc you may have. We have only visited during the winter months but I have been to see the garden, which is lovely and I wished I could have sat in the sun in the garden admiring the countryside. I really love this place. It is just a short drive to Lassay les Chateux which has a large supermarket for all your needs and also has an Auberge which we went to every time we stayed. We were also recommended to the auberge in The same village as the cottage but sadly ran out of time to visit this time. Will certainly be telling our friends and family to book this cottage.

Response from the owner We are glad you had a good time it was lovely to have you both stay. We are surprised that the church bells bothered you as the majority of our guests don't even hear them and sleep through them, as we do. “very cosy indeed”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2015

A very homely little cottage. Warm and inviting. We spent a week in a cold January on a house hunting trip and were out most days so it was nice to come back to a warm house, open a bottle of wine, light the fire and relax. There is a beautiful garden just down the lane with great views but it was a bit cold for us to sit out when we were there. There was an excellent welcome pack, much appreciated after our journey.

“The best cottage we have ever stayed in in France”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

We returned from Cosy Cottage 3 days ago and we cannot praise it enough. The owners Jan and Duncan are extremely friendly and helpful but don't bother you unless you need them. Everything was very clearly explained and demonstrated to us when we arrived. The welcome pack of wine, cider, bread, butter, cheese , eggs and milk was great, we have never had this provided before. The cottage is beautiful and tastefully decorated with lovely little touches like the wall mounted cork screw in the kitchen. All bedding and towels were provided which saved us space in the car as were basic kitchen condiments such as cooking oil. The amazing selection of DVD's books and games kept us occupied in the evenings and went down well with a bottle of wine or champagne! The cottage has so many attractions to visit within short driving times many of which were free or very cheap. We were so lucky with the weather we even visited the nearby "beach" at Sille de Guillaume and enjoyed a lovely walk around the lake. There are many attractions we did not have time to visit and we hope to return in the future to visit this beautiful part of France and meet Jan and Duncan again. We highly recommend this cottage, you will love it! Ps a selection of different sized bikes and helmets are available to use free of charge and a lovely garden with a BBQ .

Response from the owner Fantastic! So happy you were happy with the cottage! We would love to welcome you to the cottage again in the future and hope it will be very soon. Kind Regards Jan and Duncan
