Description

Chiddy Nook Self Catering Cottage is a 16th century stone built cottage in the scenic village of Chideock, Dorset. It was formerly a Coach House. The cottage is newly refurbished, although retaining it's character with white washed walls and original beams giving it the feel of a cosy holiday retreat.

Chiddy Nook has two bedrooms. One is made up with a double bed and the other is a twin room with two single beds. We do have a travel cot, if required. There is a bathroom with shower/toilet downstairs and a toilet upstairs.

The 2-bedroom Self catering Cottage is set back from the main road with its own garden. It's the perfect base for your holiday. It's ideally located close to Bridport, Lyme Regis, Charmouth and a 10 minute short walk to the delightful hamlet of Seatown, At Seatown you have The Anchor Inn with it's terrace set on the cliff, looking out over the sea. This spot makes for a perfect stopping place either during the day or in the evening to watch the sunset over the beautiful Golden Cap. From Chiddy Nook Holiday Cottage you can explore the beautiful 'Jurassic Coast', searching for fossils or walking one or two of the stunnning stretches of South West Coast Path. You may just wish to sit and relax on the beach.

Chideock is a beautiful village. Many of the properties are thatched and are surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are two superb local pubs serving locally sourced food and a small grocery shop/ post office. These are all within walking distance from Chiddy Nook Self Catering Cottage. Chideock is steeped in history and there is a small museum in the local catholic church in North Chideock.

There is ample off road parking at the rear of the property.

“Best staycation ever”

Have just had a perfect week at Chiddy Nook It’s a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable holiday and it’s nestled in a stunning garden where there are areas to sit quietly, dine or bbq The hosts Jane & Laurie were very kind & helpful There was off road parking for our 2 family cars We walked to the beautiful Sea town beach and drove the magnificent coastal road to other nearby destinations Lyme Regis West bay&Abbotsbury sub tropical gardens We definitely hope to visit and stay at this accommodation again it was just perfect.
