Beautiful Beachfront House, with stunning beach and ocean views, in Shella, Lamu, Kenya.

Forodhani House is designed in authentic swahili style, has 5 spacious, elegantly furnished bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms and terraces, sofas in different areas to relax a bit more privately too.

It can accommodate with all comfort 10 guests, even 13 guests with kids.

Its location and finishes are truly stunning : at the beginning of Shella Beach, with 270° sea views, as you could see on the pictures, truly magic when you sit on the terraces or rest here !

4 staff, among them a good cook, are here to pamper you, take care of all so that you can fully relax and enjoy your holidays.

Forodhani House is rented on a Self-Catering basis, because it is the most cost-efficient way to do it for our guests, as the food is really not expensive. Of course our/your cook will do all shopping, cooking, waitering for you.

And, maybe you know it already but maybe not, there is a lot to do in Shella and Lamu really :

You have all sea and beach activities (sailing, surfing, kite, windsurf, waterskiing, snorkeling, swimming, walking on the beach, scuba diving, fishing even deep sea fishing, sunset or day cruising..), plus lamu old town world heritage site and cultural visits to discover the rich Swahili culture and history, plus lots of services like yoga, massage, music, dvds... at home.

Also nature which is truly at its best here with stunning views, turtles clutch watching, swimming with dolphins, even whales watching on season at the corner...

And fun/parties, good spots to have a drink, relax, talk with friendly people, have fun, dance too if wished, on the beach or in 2 or 3 really trendy and cool places !

For sure you can really have a fantastic time and we will make sure of this !

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Isabelle (the owner) a message.

If Isabelle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
