“Lovely family cottage”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2013

What a lovely place to take a small family. Just outside Hazyview, secluded in the bush with lovely views from the splash pool. The accommodation is great and the surroundings is perfect with excellent amenities. We often saw Zebra from the patio outside the cottage and spend evenings listening to the sounds of the bush while sitting next to the fire. Tranquil nest is on the main road to Hazyview and close to so many other tourist attractions in the area. The owners take great care of their guests with update messages on our booking, a welcome bottle of sparkling juice, messages and chocolates on our pillow and even a 'padkos' bag full of snacks before our departure. We will definitely return.

“Excellent family getaway”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2013

My family I had an exceptional 3 night stay at Tranquil Nest self-catering chalets. Having a 3 year old and 11 month old, self-catering is the best option for us. The chalet's were very spacious and comfortable, the boys had ample space to run around and play. The heated splash pool was an absolute bonus for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need for your stay, and even though we brought disposable braai's with us, the braai area and equipment was more than sufficient. The rooms were serviced daily and the little touches didn't go unnoticed, every detail was thought of, and Chris and Ellen really went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. We were also treated on 2 occasions to herds of zebra's and wildebeest grazing near the electric fence on the boundary, which we could view from our chalets patio. An excellent find for us, one that we will make sure to re-visit. Thank you Ellen and Chris!
