Description

Hacienda San Juan de La Vega has been in my husband David´s family for about 20 years... We love our ranch dearly and in the last year or so we have really put a lot of love and joy into renovating our property. We currently have 2 of the 4 homes completely renovated. The first home (Casa Monica) that we renovated has been listed since January 2012 and our 2nd home (Casa Ana) which we finished renovating May 2012 is now also listed.



We've loved our rental experience, having many lovely families & couples visit for long month stays or just a quick long weekend / week visits.

Life in Ecuador:

I've loved living in Ecuador for the last 7 1/2 years... When I lived in Northern VA, I was a pre-school teacher / Director of a wonderful little preschool that I opened with my mother. Clifton Children's Academy ( www.childrensacademy.com ). I grew up in McLean VA most of my life... however, now I find myself completely in love, living in Quito, Ecuador. I love Ecuador and definitely recommend a visit! We are trying to create a new kind of Vacation Experience on or ranch... Very different from staying in a hotel room... you can enjoy the entire villa just for you and your family. Our staff is very attentive to all of your needs so you will feel quite pampered... and most importantly you will feel like you are on vacation... We hope you enjoy it!

We are near Otavalo in a small community called San Pablo del Lago. The town Square is about 10min away by cab with a $4.00 to $5.00 fee. If you choose to go by foot its a beautiful 45min walk. Our Hacienda San Juan de La Vega was a passion and a dream for David's father... He loved the land and always wanted to create a sustainable life style on the ranch... We have tried to follow his dream as we continually implement new projects that are permaculture related. We are constantly learning and find that life on the ranch is extraordinary enriching for us as a couple as well as for our visitors...



For us, it is important that you and your family share valuable life lasting memories... In a way it is like going back to a more simple life style... Getting back to the basics... Visiting grandmas farm... making homemade biscuits, homemade cheese and more... You create the memories we provide the possibilities... Enjoy

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Janine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
