Spacious & Well Ventilated Apartment by the Beach.

Great location had everything we needed

We spent a week in this apartment looking to enjoy the beach (one week was too long in salinas, not much to do besides the beach). The apartment was fully furnished and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. The ginormous tv in the living room is a projection tv so during daylight hours it is difficult to see. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms had air conditioning units for a good nights sleep. My only complaint would be that cooking in the kitchen with no air conditioning was stifling as we traveled during the hot months. The apartment was also on either the fourth or fifth floor so be prepared to climb a narrow and dark stair well. The apartment has a ground floor locked door as well as a chain locked metal grate outside the apartment door and the main door so 3 keys to keep track of. Makes you feel safe but also makes you wonder why so many locks are necessary. … see more

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo in Salinas Ecuador

Small but perfectly formed

Our stay in this sweet gem of a condo has been truly wonderful. Getting up each day to the incredible view, and falling asleep to the sound of the Pacific beach is unforgettable. We've made many friends - the ex-pat community is strong and welcoming, and the Ecuadorian locals are helpful and friendly. The photo's seem great, but the reality is even better. The condo is well-equipped with everything one needs to be safe and comfortable, and the location is perfect - on the waterfront Malecon, but a 10 minute walk to the busy beach area. The owners Beth and Ed Pirl are fantastic - responsive and engaged. Although our stay was relatively trouble-free, the few small issues were taken care of right away. BY FAR THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN MONTAÑITA... TOTAL RELAXATION AFTER GREAT SURF!!!!

In my humble opinion "PACHAMAR" is by far the very best place to Stay in montañita. The town is by excellence the capital of Surf and fun in the whole of Ecuador. Situated away from the noise of the town and yet very close to every service and the great waves, this property gave me the peace I needed After a good session of surf. The house is really nice and the surroundings are simply great, lots of green to make the place even more beautiful. Waking up every morning of the sound of birds is something I really appreciated, you can even watch horses and cows pass by every once in a while... Just keep the gate closed so they don't eat the garden... Hahaha!!! It is worth mentioning that I felt very safe at all times, night and day!!! Like I mentioned before "PACHAMAR" is by far the very best place to stay in montañita!!!! … see more
