About the Shepherds Hut
A beautiful, secluded, self catering shepherds with ensuite bathroom, smart TV, electric heating, wifi, kitchenette with oven and integrated fridge set in it's own dog friendly garden with BBQ. Perfect for a quiet, private escape with the addition of a dog paddock next to the hut to exercise your dog with a small woodland area. It is ideally situated for the South Downs Way and its stunning countryside and is 20 minutes from the coast and beaches. It is surrounded by many picturesque villages such as Petworth with its abundance of antique shops, Arundel with it's Castle and fine restaurants, and Midhurst which boasts Cowdray Park polo. As well as providing a warm cosy environment in which to stay, you can also enjoy some of the modern features we have all come to expect, heating and on demand hot water.. There is also a fully fitted en-suite shower room. Outside you will find the private garden which has a comfortable rattan garden suite and gas barbecue.
A mile down the road is Charlie's farm shop which stocks all their own produce and a selection of wines and just 3 miles up the road the local supermarkets.
There is wifi in the hut enabling you to watch television on your own personal media devices and we also supply a DVD player with a selection of DVDs.
The Shepherds Hut is also ideally situated for easy access to Goodwood for The Revival and Festival of Speed and also the horse racing, being just 12.5 miles away.
Please note: we also have available the Thatched Cottage annex, this sleeps two people in luxury and is only 40 metres from the Shepherds Hut. The annex is also listed on Holiday Lettings.

“Gorgeous break away”
Lovely Shephards Hut with everything you could need. Dogs loved the secure garden and amazing dog exercise field. It was so peaceful and enabled us to complete relax and unwind. Really recommend staying here.

“Fantastic”
A delightful shephards hut ...so clean ..spacious..pretty grounds This little place is a gem .. Fantastic hosts The hut has everything you need ..literally all you need is your clothes Great for bringing dogs with ya In fact we loved it so much ..we have booked again for August

“Incredibly Helpful”
Very well appointed shepherds hut. Ingenious use of space and very private. Everything you could want is provided. We also suffered a bit of a disaster with our car on the second night of our stay and Sue and Tim could not have been more helpful in remedying the situation.

“Relaxing”
Stayed here for for 3 nights long weekend beautiful shepherd hut very cosy and homely Susan the owner had a lovely little touch bottle of prosecco and cookies on arrival. Towels and bedding provided there was even a hairdryer shower gel shampoo everything you would need beautiful surroundings very secluded the most comfortable bed ever all in all a very relaxing weekend away in the countryside highly recommend if you want to get away from it all

“Amazing!!”
I had a brilliant stay in the shepherds hut and will definitely be coming back! Sue was so helpful and very kind. The hut came with everything you needed and was spotless. The hut was cozy and lovely! The outside area had the sun all day long so perfect for the nice weather. Thank you so much Sue.

“Wonderful long weekend”
We had a wonderful 4 night stay in the shepherd’s hut - Sue & Tim have thought of just about everything to make your stay enjoyable. The hut is beautifully kitted out with its own outdoor space plus a lovely large garden where visitors dogs can have a run. The welcome cookies and decanter of sherry were much appreciated too! Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean, cosy, and welcoming. Location excellent for both South Downs and the coast. Garden superb for our dogs. Would like to return soon.

“Perfect weekend escape!”
My boyfriend and I stayed over the weekend for his birthday with our dog and really enjoyed ourselves. The hut is SO lovely and comfortable and the owner has made really fantastic use of the limited space. It’s so cosy and has everything you’ll need - the bathroom is nicer than ours at home haha! The property itself is gorgeous - lovely views with big (but also enclosed and safe) space for your doggy friends. Susan made booking, checking in and checking out incredibly easy. The whole holiday was a pleasure. I could not recommend this little hidden gem enough! Thank you so much for having us. (We wanted to leave a note but didn’t have a pen: I’m so sorry we accidentally left the outdoor sofa cushions outside overnight. We realised in the morning they had got wet so left them out to dry rather than make everything else damp, too.)
