Description
20 minutes from Paphos International Airport, situated in a quiet residential area equidistant from Paphos Harbour and Coral Bay, you will find Villa Kalandia.
Villa Kalandia is a luxury villa that accommodates 6 to 9 people.
It has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin; a double futon bed in the lounge area and a single futon bed in the twin room ( with option to move). Each room has access to a balcony via patio doors. Hair dryers are provided in all bedrooms.
The master bedroom has en-suite facilities. There is a family bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom.
The ground floor is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen that includes a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
The living area has a dining table, which extends to seat 12 people. There is a lounge suite, TV with android viewing.
FREE child facilities include cot, high chair, two stair safety gates, cot linen, infant toilet seat, cutlery and plastic cups and plates
The villa is fully air conditioned for the comfort of our guests during the summer months, converting to a heating system during the cooler season, complemented by an open log fire. Additionally, ceiling fans are installed in all rooms.
The colourful, mature garden is fenced all around and consists of a beautiful pool that is bathed in sunshine all day and is surrounded by a terrace containing sun beds, tables, parasols and BBQ. After watching a beautiful sunset, the garden and pool are fully lit for a romantic evening.
The Villa is a non-smoking establishment, although ashtrays are provided, for guests wishing to smoke outside.
Linen, house and pool towels are included. The pool is cleaned twice weekly to ensure safe bathing.
There is no preferred changeover day.
Arrival and departure times are 4pm and 10am respectively. However, should no other guests be arriving or leaving the Villa on your dates, then the times would be flexible at no additional cost. We will confirm these details closer to your holiday.
We recommend car hire, or alternatively, the local taxi firm that we recommend are always available to take you to the shops, beach, restaurants or local attractions. They will collect very promptly from the villa or your choice of venue. They are also bookable in advance. There is a timetabled bus service into Paphos which runs approximately every two hours.
Emba and its surrounding area.
The villa is situated in a small quiet close in a residential area in the village of Emba.
The local supermarket stocks a full range of products, from local produce to Heinz Beans! Adjacent to the supermarket are several food outlets selling traditional Cypriot food, fresh fish and a bakery. There are local Tavernas within walking distance. The surrounding villages of Lempa, Chlorakas and Kissonerga also have a variety of local restaurants.
Coral Bay is a few minutes' drive away. Its high street is full of bars and restaurants. It has a character of its own and is full of life. A few minutes' drive further on, leads you to the sandy beach and water sports.
Paphos main town and harbour are in the opposite direction, where facilities are abundant. There are two contrasting areas, The Harbour - with its many restaurants or Bar Street - for club land and bars
Places to visit and activities
The island has something to offer all ages and tastes.
The Troodos Mountains; for skiing in the winter and sightseeing and walking in the summer. There are many vineyards on the slopes where you can sample a variety of local wines and purchase at very reasonable prices.
Day excursions are plentiful - jeep safaris to Troodos or the Akamas Peninsular, day/sunset cruises, fishing trips and guided walks.
If more lively activities are preferred, jet skis, paragliding, water skiing, scuba diving. Go-karting, golf, cycling and horse riding are all close by, as well as a water park.
The established family coastal path is ideal for walking, jogging, cycling and blading.
There are many historic places to visit - The Mosaics, Tombs of the Kings, Baths of Aphrodite and the Kykko Monastery, just to name a few.

“Excellent stay”
This is the second time we have rented this villa. As before, it was an excellent stay. The villa has everything and is finished to a very high standard. The town of Emba has a very good restaurant next to the church and there is a supermarket selling almost everything within 10 minutes. The car rental recommended (Elephant Rentals) is much better and cheaper than the Airport - based Hertz and Avis. They will deliver and pick up at your door or airport (or both). We had a new Nissan Note for a week at about 100 Euros. They have a fleet of 32 cars. The weather in late March was perfect.

“Brilliant - didn't want to leave.”
The villa is ideally situated for us. A quiet area with no noise, so peaceful, peaceful peaceful! A well appointed villa with a pool, not too far from Paphos airport, and town, but far enough away to be almost rural. Towns and villages are not too far away so as to provide a variety of places to eat and drink when necessary. But with its own well appointed kitchen we ate in a lot and enjoyed the villa. This was our 3rd time there and we don't usually revisit holiday destinations. Couldn't be bettered and Jane and John were excellent hosts.

“PERFECT FAMILY VILLA”
This was our first time staying in a villa and Villa Kalandia was perfect for us. There were five of us (including our teenage daughter) and everyone agreed it was a good choice. The villa was clean and comfortable and the dishwasher and washing machine came in very handy. In fact, all the kitchen equipment you could possible need was available. We made good use of the lovely pool and also used the BBQ several times. Villa Kalandia is in the quiet area of Emba and you do need a car. We only went into Paphos a couple of times as we preferred to eat in the more local tavernas/restaurants. A highlight was our trip to the Troodos Mountains where we had a fabulous lunch that we are still talking about! Any minor problems in the villa were quickly resolved and the owners were helpful and easily reached. We would all love to return sometime soon.

“Home away from home.”
This was our second time to Cyprus and our second stay in this villa. It truly is a home away from home! It is very well appointed, is always clean and tidy and has everything you need and more whilst on vacation. The pool is a godsend and the new BBQ, allows for lovely family dinners around the pool. John and Jayne are forever looking for ways to make ones stay more comfortable, and the addition of the ceiling fans has certainly done that. My hubby was also really happy that he was able to watch the sport at the villa with a cold beer in hand! The villa is also really well located, making it easy to go sightseeing or for a meal at the local tavernas. We will definitely be rebooking for our next Cyprus getaway!

“Fantastic holiday - first class accommodation”
This villa is in the perfect location, close enough to Coral Bay and Paphos but far enough away for some peace and quiet too. The place is very well maintained, well equipped and with the management team on hand nothing is a problem. Nice pool area and plenty of beach towels too. This was my fourth visit and I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone, whether you're a couple wanting a quiet holiday or a family. With the supermarket just down the road it really is a home from home and with wall to wall sunshine and great temperatures this really was a fab holiday.
