Description

Villa Ritsa is a 3 storey house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the outskirts of Ribaritsa, Bulgaria. Set in the idyllic Troyan mountain region it is surrounded in natural beauty. There is a fishing lake, restaurant and swimming pool approx 300 metres away. 3 sofa beds are available for use by larger parties. The ground floor has a fully equipped kichen diner, and also a lounge area with a double sofa bed. It also has a large shower room with toilet. The middle floor has a full bathroom with overhead shower and toilet. It also has two conjoined lounges each with a double sofa bed, there is a balcony off the lounge, with a BBQ chimney built into it. in the lounge is a wood burner which fuels the radiators in the cooler months. The upper floor has two double bedrooms each sharing a balcony, and a further twin bedded room. Onthisfloor there is also a wetroom shower with toilet. The property has a fenced off drive and small garden area.

Within 300 metres of the property is a beautiful fishing lake with all equipment available to rent. There is also a restaurant and swimming pool at the lake. Opposite the lake is a petrol station which has a small supply of conveniences you can purchase.

The nearest town, Teteven, is about 5 miles away, which has plenty of restaurants, pubs, and cafe's. Also supermarkets, a sport centre and plenty more.

The surrounding area has caves, monastery's and all sorts of history to see.

Villa Ritsa is approximately 75 minutes from the capital city, Sofia, where the airport is. Transfers can be arranged but car hire is recommended. The cost of living is still very low in Bulgaria so eating out is a very cheap option.

Flights are still cheap, Easy Jet and Wizzair seem to be most competitive rates and you can also get good British Airway deals.

Getting around

A car is recommended if you are flying to Bulgaria. However there is a daily bus into Sofia which stops nearby. English is a fairly new language in Bulgaria so the older generation often have been taught as little English as we have been taught Bulgarian.

I am fortunate enough to have a lovely maintenance guy, Pavlin, who you will be able to contact if there are any problems. Pavlin will meet you with keys to the property.
