Description

Our Florida Keys tradional island home is a fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath plus Florida room with a deck overlooking the bay. It is surrounded by lush vegetation and large towering coconut palm trees. The house has been decorated in a nautical flavor with many fine antiques collected from around the world. This house is special, with everything from galley spices to cook with, to your own nautical library. Perfect for 2 couples that would love to go sailing in the Florida Keys.

Free internet access. No phone access.

This rental has air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, stereo, and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds are queen size with colorful linens. We have kept the original pecky cypress wood walls, which is a traditional style of old Florida Keys homes. There are bath towels, beach towels, bed linens, bicycles, kayaks and even a BBQ for cooking your fresh caught seafood.

The maximum occupancy for this house is 6 people.

Getting around

We recommend a rental car to get here from the airports. There is a bus available in Marathon to go to Key West for the day, departs every 2 hours both ways, an inexpensive and hassle free way to go there. Taxis are also available.

Interaction with guest

The primary attraction of Conched Out, is the location for sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. We are here to assist experienced sailors for a fabulous time sailing in a great location. We also have some fishing and snorkeling equipment, and a small fishing boat available for qualified guests.

House rules

We request children over the age of 7 due to the proximity of the cottage to the water. Younger children may be allowed, parents will provide suitable sized water flotation device, to be worn at all times when outside, and constant supervision. No smoking on premises.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Barry & Tammy (the owner) a message.

If Barry & Tammy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
