“A nice place to stay”
We stayed at Northern Knights cottage in June and we were very pleased with everything about our visit. The location is great with the beach a short walk away and lots of beautiful drives within a few miles. The light in June was perfect for photography and painting and around every corner was another beautiful scene to paint. There are nice places to ride bikes and we saw wild fox kits and bald eagles. One of the nights we were there, it was stormy, with gusting winds, rain and pounding surf. Inside it was warm and cozy, and we fell asleep listening to the wind and the rain and the waves on the beach. The cottage itself really was immaculate and fully equipped with everything we needed while we were there, right down to the coffee bean grinder. And it was comfortable. The bed was comfortable with nice linens, the couches and chairs were comfortable and the open concept kitchen, living, dining room with lots of windows and light was easy to live in. Prince Edward Island was a nice place to vacation and Northern Knights cottage was a a really nice place to stay.
“Fantastic Family Getaway!”
The cottage (house) was perfect for our family of 5. It was extremely clean, and had all the amenities you would need for your stay. The bedrooms were big and we had lots of room for everyone to have their own space (even during the rainy days). It was only a two minute walk to the beach, where you can walk down the rocks or use stairs we found down a short path away. The kids loved the beach, and exploring in the water for crabs. We enjoyed being in a quiet area and still be able to drive to Cavendish (Anne of Green Gables and golfing) for a day adventure.
“Relaxing and spacious”
Our family of 4 stayed at the cottage for 1 week at the end of July/early august 2013. Although the weather started out cool, we had a wonderful stay at the Northern Knights. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of linens, dishes, and appliances. I was happy to see a dishwasher! We had some extra overnight guests and there was lots of room for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the short walk to the gorgeous, unpopulated beach and the puzzles were a hit! We know the area so didn't need them, but there was an entire drawerful of brochures, very nice touch! This is the nicest area of PEI. Thanks to Jack the local caretaker who brought balloons to our girls, and to Jim, the cottage owner.
“Awesome Vacation on PEI”
We chose Northern Knights Seaview cottage for our stay in PEI.There was plenty of room for the six of us from Onatrio and Nova Scotia. The cottage was exceptionally clean and better equipped than I could have imagined. We didn't feel crowded at all, the cottage is spacious and well layed out.The location was perfect, as it is a short drive to Charlottetown, Cavendish or Summerside, and the view from the cottage was amazing! This cottage is a-1, for sure, and would definitely stay there again,Jim was very accomodating at letting us change our dates and having late a checkout and the Manager Jack was very nice. Thanks Jim for the wonderful holiday you helped us have. Sincerely Carol Eldridge and company
“Comfortable and quiet with great access to beach.”
The cottage is clean and well equipped, with a nice deck, comfortable common spaces, and easy access to the beach. The keyless entry and outdoor shower were great features. While not directly on the waterfront the beach is a 2 minute walk and the cottage has nice ocean views. There were also lots of board games, puzzles, books in case of rainy days.
“Lovely Cottage, Great Location!”
This was a great find for our first visit to PEI. The cottage was recently renovated, and was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. It's just a short walk to the beach - perfect if you want to spend the day or just enjoy an early morning or evening stroll. You can walk a few miles if you want to! And for the rest of the time, the cottage was only a short drive away from Charlottetown, Cavendish, Summerside and several very nice golf courses. We ended our stay with a glorious sunset and a lovely campfire on the beach. Who could ask for more!
“A Little Piece of Heaven in PEI”
The cottage was absolutely immaculate and completely outfitted with new appliances, dishes, cutlery, furniture, very comfortable beds. No lumpy, musty couches or beds here! The white painted walls and wide windows made it open and bright. The walk to the beach was less than 2 minutes-the perfect beach for people who want to swim, walk, collect shells, skip stones, play volleyball, etc. No crowds, just people of all ages there to experience a natural beach area. The location on the north shore was central to many areas. The guys found many golf courses within reasonable driving distance of the cottage. We accessed the Confederation Trail in Kensington. This cottage is wonderful for people who want to get away from it all. The night life is watching the sunsets, looking at stars and having a fire on the beach. Nothing is within walking distance, except the quiet red sand beach. The only souvenirs you will find here are shells and rounded sandstone. Jim was excellent at communicating with us by phone and email. We would highly recommend this cottage to families or couples who enjoy nature and quiet getaways but with the option to drive to nearby tourist attractions.
“Wonderful Vacation in PEI”
It all started when my nine year old Granddaughter said she wanted to go to PEI and to swim in the ocean! We were travelling from Saskatchewan to Nova Scotia for a wedding and taking the week after to experience atlantic Canada! With my Grandaughters wishes in mind, I found Knights Northern Seaview Cottage on the PEI tourism website! Booking online was a good experience and all went smoothly. You can't imagine the excitement, and relief on my part, when we walked in the door of the cottage! It is so nice!!! Very clean, well equipped, bright and cozy and just a short walk to the beach! We loved it! I met a local lady walking back from the beach one day and found out where we could buy local seafood and vegetables. We cooked mussels, haddock, lobster and delicious PEI new potatoes! What a dream come true for a group of Prairie people! There were 4 adults and 3 children in the cottage. We had plenty of room! The kids had so much fun and have memories they'll never forget!
“Great location, very comfy, and all the amenities!”
We stayed at Knights Seaview just after after remodeling in 2011 and it was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever had. The owner was very pleasant and there was an on-site overseer as well so we felt very secure. You can hear the waves at night as the very unpopulated beach is just steps away - one of the best beaches on PEI (and I should know - I was born there!). We even saw the northern lights one campfire-on-the-beach night. The cottage was clean and well-equipped for all of our needs. The master bedroom has a big picture window and you can open the curtains at night to awake to the most gorgeous view of the sunrise over the water. Thanks Jim - we'll be back soon. - The Langilles, Bridgewater NS
