Description

The apartment (90m2) is next to the house of the owner - an old traditional Ticino-House from the begin of 1800. It was the first vegetarian pension of Switzerland. The house is situated at the south edge of a small, car free mountain-village (750 m above sea level). Lovely free views down to the capriasca valley, on Lugano and lake Lugano and the mountains "Denti della vecchia".

Arrival: 80 meters easy walk through the old rural village from the public parking (free of charge) and the public bus stop.

Coming by car: From nord leaving the highway at Rivera, from south at Lugano nord, then continue to Tesserete and uphill, in direction Val Colla.

Coming by public transports: arriving by train to Lugano, then by ARL-bus to Tesserete, change in postcar and uphill, in direction Val Colla. (Attention, there are postcars once an our, but weekends only every 2 ours. The last at 7.30 pm).

Ground floor: spacious living room with a pleasant niche with division for the sofabed (2 persons + option to add a rollaway bed), wood stove (no charge for wood), dining place with a big wooden table (chairs + 2 high chairs), good equipped open kitchen (dishwasher) with panoramic window (view golf of Lugano), separate WC. There is no TV, but a big screen with DVD player and a lot of DVD's to use.

1st floor: large bedroom on two levels (2 beds + possibility of adding a children'bed and a cot for babies or 2 mattresses for kids), 2 windows from the ground on which are locked up for small children, bathroom (shower, bathtub/shower and WC and wrapping board, children's bathtub),access to the big common balcony.

On the ground floor level there is a spacious garden like a big terrace, where it is possible to have lunch outside under a grapes pergola.

Downstairs there are 2 covered spaces (arcades) for sharing and a huge wild garden with plenty of medical plants and edible wild plants. A good place for children to play (old bathtub, children's slide, ping pong and many games and toys, sandbox and of course sun loungers for sunbathing, barbecue).

The village is immersed in green green Capriasca and Val Colla (hiking and biking). You can go directly from the house to walk up the mountains.

There are no shops and restaurants in the village.

3,5 km to the next bigger village Tesserete (grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, doctors, banks, post-office, police, public outdoor pool, tennis).

11 km to Lugano.

Small grocery store in the next village by walk (1 km) uphill.

Vegetarian Bio restaurant with a spectacular view, an 800m walk into the next village downhill.

Children under 6 years are free (only CHF 20 single charge for bed linen).

Cleaning costs CHF 120.
