The Gardens is now offering 4 spacious one bedroom, fully furnished, upscale apartments for those wanting more than a just room with a bed while vacationing on Utila. The two upper floors with 14 foot ceilings are highlighted here. Each of the units is located on a paved road within a privacy fence with security lighting for your convenience. Each of these units boasts two decks, one of which is privacy partitioned.

The Gardens is located just up and off of the Main Street, close enough to be “in town”, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of Main Street to allow for peace and privacy. These apartments are designed in a home style setting with all of the amenities you’d expect. Full sized refrigerators, glass panel stoves with ovens, built in overhead microwave units, stainless sinks with full time hot water, wall mounted flat screen televisions complete with cable, tiled showers with hot water and, of course, Wifi for those that need to stay connected to the world at large. These apartments are self catering with all linens, cookware, and tableware. All you need to bring with you is your clothes, groceries and a toothbrush to be right at home!

Now part of Tony and Jo’s Laguna Vista, (see VBRO listing 229936!) you can expect more than to just be pointed to your room. We strive to make your vacation as effortless as possible. Standard services include assisting pick up and return to your point of origin on the island, and grocery and libation provisioning and stocking prior to your arrival, if requested. Yoga mats are available upon request.

For those wanting to enjoy the diving that Utila is famous for we can provide a private dive boat with personal professional Dive Masters/IDC Instructors, or special arrangements can be made with select qualified local dive shops to include you in their groups. Certification in Diving is available from beginner all the way to using Drager™ Dolphin Rebreathers and Closed Circuit Units. Want to be really adventurous? We can set up a FreeDiving Course for you, as well! Diving alternatives such as horseback riding, boating, sailing charters, 4 wheel excursions or guided nature walks are only a request away. The Gardens has access to the best in Catch and Release Deep Sea Fishing Charters, having custom boats on call with Captains who know and fish the Bay Islands.

The Gardens may not be for everyone, but it may be just what you’re looking for!

Due to the proximity to main street you can easily walk to main street! Tuk tuks are also readily available for the days you simply don't feel like walking. We are also pleased to get you a quote on a golf cart or ATV and have it waiting for you when you arrive at the ferry or airport. Just let us know and we can it set up for you!

House rules

- We provide 12 kw of power per day. This is more than adequate to get you easily through your stay if you remember to turn lights, fans and A/C's off when you aren't using them or you leave the house. Power usage above the allotted amount are the responsibility of the renter at a cost of $0.40 per kw.
- Monthly renters are responsible for their own power usage.
- Weekly cleaning and fresh linens are provided weekly.

Response from the owner We are happy to report that the island's power issues seem to be far better with the completion of the update of the power grid, and that our internet issues have been dealt with following the elimination of the bleed over from the other signals in our area. While long term guests are required to provide their own power, short term guests should find that the provided 12 KwH per day is sufficient for all of their needs. On a personal note, we were very pleased that we could assist you in recuperation and were glad to see you back in the glow of health, and enjoying your time on Utila and at The Gardens!
